Our favorite school and book resources for families.
Over the 13 years of our homeschooling journey we have ended up with quite a host of resources for our home school. Our shelves are full and over flowing! And I am very grateful for these!
We love reading good wholesome Christian books, and have found several companies that have some great ones.
So here I have a slide show of our many books that you can view, and see some names of titles. And then along side is a list of the companies where we have bought our books, along with a few other companies as well. Lots of really great companies and ministries with super wonderful recourses for the whole family.
For school work we are mostly using all Christian Light Education. For my older sons math though we use Saxon, and Teaching Text Books.
Over the years we have used a few random items. Like Power Spelling for spelling words. 100 Easy Lessons To Teach Your Child to Read for teaching our younger ones to read. We used Language Lessons For The Well Trained Mind for a substitute for Language Arts for the older ones for grades one and two. I have found each of those items to be very good!
I had heard great stuff about Write Workshop, so I purchased that a few years ago, and then we never used it. I would really like to get my children writing more, and enjoying it. I really want to get into writing myself, so I picked up a few other helpful writing books as well.
