Hey you all,
It's been a long while since I have been able to post on blog. The only things I really had  been posting was just my YouTube videos, and now here of late I haven't even been able to manage that.
Life has been busy. Here is what's been going on in my life.
Homeschooling. Housekeeping. Working on my book. Organizing and packing for our trip to Texas.
Then our trip to Texas. Unpacking. Back to schooling. Back to working on my book. Schooling. Book editing. Schooling.  More book editing.
 That's been my life.
But good news! My book is nearly ready for uploading to the global network!
Holding on to Hope - A family's story of loss and the hope that keeps them going.
Yes, almost ready!!!  And I can't wait for it to go out and bless those God has attended for it to. It will be ready by Thanksgiving . So start looking for it soon.
I haven't been doing much for videos lately on my YouTube, but I do have several there that I have not posted here on my blog. So if you want to see what I've been up to please check out my YouTube channel. Mae Renfroe - YouTube

Something new. I have the opportunity to be a guest on some podcasts. I'm very excited about that, and to be able to talk about my book and my hope in God that has kept me going. I can't wait to see what all God has in store with this book and our story!!
In Him, Mae.

So happy to announce my newest book release here!
As For me and My House, Volume 2
Unfortunately it does come slightly imperfect. The front cover title of the book is a little hard to see.
As well as few typo errors inside. So I may yet get those fixed and upload it again to the global network.
But otherwise it's ready for you to read, enjoy, and be inspired and encouraged --from my home to yours! I am confident you will be blessed!

Starting 2019 strong

1/1/2019

As we are about to start off this new year, I have been reflecting back over this past year and about how much we have to be thankful for. Wow, so much. So many things, in so many different areas, and in so many little details of our lives. It’s amazing to see God work in our lives. His goodness and faithfulness. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good! Praise the Lord!
Just one of the many things I am very thankful for is the volume 2 book of, As For Me and My House.  I am thankful that it is finally finished, and will soon be ready and available for purchase. It takes a lot of effort and time to do the self-publishing as I do. But I am thankful for that too. Self-publishing  has been the only option for me in getting my books out there for you.
I pray this book will be a blessing and an encouragement to my readers. That the messages held in it will inspire and challenge, as you walk with the Lord and raise your children for Him. As a mother, you have one of the greatest roles there is. Never underestimate the impact you will make on their lives for eternity. This is your destiny, and you are made for this.

As you step in to this  new year, I pray that you will be inspired to be and do all that God has for you. That you will be bold, courageous, and confident in Christ. And that you will know without a doubt who you are in Him. You are a daughter of the King, set apart for His use, a new creation, loved, accepted, forgiven, no longer a slave to sin, and an ambassador for Christ. May this shine forth brightly in all you do, and everywhere you go! Because you are special, you have Christ dwelling in you!
I also want to encourage you, if you a feel God’s calling on your life in a certain direction, I hope you step into this calling with boldness and confidence. If you have this burning passion in you that you just can’t get out of your head and heart, then I hope you pursue after it. And don’t let fear stop you from doing it, and achieving it.
Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

If you have a God-given dream, then go for it. And know He will not call you to something without giving you what you need to accomplish it. We read what Jesus did with his disciples in Mark chapter 6; He called them, He equipped them, and He sent them. He is doing that for you and I too. So let’s step into what He has for us and that desire that He has placed in our hearts, with all courage.
Let’s make this new year a year of change, a year of more, a year of boldness, a year of courage, a year of transformation, and year that we fulfill your dreams.
If God gave you the dream, He will make it possible! Just keep dreaming, keep believing, and keep trusting!
May you stay humble, stay focused, and stay blessed!
Wishing you all the best in this new year!
In Him, Mae

Powerful books by Priscilla Shirer

5/4/2018

Like I said in my last blog post I love reading great books, and sharing about those great books here.
So here is two more you! Both from Priscilla Shirer.
I have read her book called, Fervent, about a year ago. Completely loved it. It is a woman's battle plan for serious, specific, and strategic praying. What a weapon we have through prayer against our enemy the devil. We just need to know how to use it to our fullest benefit.

Just last weekend I had the great privilege of attending a Priscilla Shirer Simulcast event via a little church  here in Texas. I went with my mother-in-law and we both had a very special time!  It was very wonderfully organized and put together by the ladies of that church.
And Priscilla's message was super good!! She is a very amazing and powerful speaker! I love how she has a way of bringing out the message of the Scriptures in such a powerful way. And how she literally unloads a verse or passage and gets all you can get out of it. And I am like, "Wow all that was in that little verse!" I tell you she is amazing!

So it is with great excitement that I look forward to digging in to this other book of hers that I have just recently ordered. This one is called, Awaken. It is 90 day devotional. I love devotionals. And I have no doubt it will be great like her other one, and like her speaking.

If you are looking for a great read look for these! She has many more books as well. You can check them out on her web-site at https://www.goingbeyond.com/

 Until next time,

Inspiring books

I am an avid reader of great Christian books. And when I come across some good ones, I love to share about them here.
I just bought these books from Amazon, which I am very excited about reading. I have started reading the book by Jen Bricker, Everything is Possible. Looks like it will be a great inspirational read!! I am pretty impressed with her bright attitude and out-look on life!
I also can't wait to get into the book by Borris Vujicic, Raising the Perfectly Imperfect Child. I have read three of Nick Vujicic books, and now to read one by his Dad about what it was like to raise a child born without  arms and legs I think will be pretty neat.
People like Jen Bricker and Nick Vujicic really inspire me. They may have what the world calls disabilities with limitations, but they have learned to live life to the fullest with no limits, and have not let anything stop them. In fact it appears it has been nothing but advantages for them. They are inspiring millions of people all over the world and are accomplishing way more in life than most of us ever will.
  WOW! Pretty neat I think!
If you need a good inspiring read, then look for these books as well Nick Vujicic's books on Amazon. They are worth your time!

Beauty Marks book give-away!!

 Hey ladies!
We are having a special book give-away for the first 20 ladies to register for the Hope and Crisis Ladies Retreat.
I have just recently read this book. And really enjoyed. I found it so helpful and inspiring.
And while I was in the middle of reading I was like I would love to give this book to every lady that comes to the retreat. But I knew I could not do that. So I am doing the next best thing I can think of. A book for each of the first 20 ladies to register! You will receive your book at the retreat.
We are hoping for a big turn out for the retreat, but as of yet no one has registered. And unfortunately we will have to cancel by Feb. 9th, if we do not have 20 ladies registered or at least  committed to coming.
But I praying and hoping for the best! The Lord's will be done!
If are in the area, please spread the word to any one you know that would be blessed by this event.
Below is a photo of the book, and about the author. You can read more about the the book and the Barrick family story here.

Books on grief

Here is a photo of a bunch of books that are on helping to cope with grief and difficult circumstances. I have these and have read them all. Most all of them I really enjoyed and they have been an encouragement and help to me.
I am now in the process of reading another book that is not in that photo. It is called Gratitude in Grief by Kelly S. Buckley.
Most all of theses books can be found on Amazon if you are interested in getting them. Also if you live near me you can burrow them from our library.
I really poured my self into reading after our loss and found it so helpful and healing. These books as well as many more good spiritual inspiring, and faith building books.
They may be a hlep to you too.
God bless!

Introducing My books by video

12/6/2017

  Hi everyone!
I have made a little video sharing about my books. So I am happy to have that available here for you to watch. This is only the second video I have made. My other one I just did about the same time and is about the Ladies Retreat I am currently in the process of planning. You can  see that one over on my retreat page near the bottom of the page.
You will be able to tell that I am not use to making videos like this and was feeling a little uncomfortable to say the least speaking to and empty room and a video camera! ( I chased all my children out of the house except my little one while making them, because I knew they would make me laugh and make too much noise!!)
I think though I enjoy making videos and will make more in the future for my web-site. I think it would be neat to do video blog posts, as well as other ones such as teaching videos, ect... So look for that for the future of my web-site ministry. I am excited what the Lord has for me!!
Untill next time,

Beauty Marks ( a book )

Here is another great book I am reading. Beauty Marks, by Linda Barrick.
So good! I would all most have to say the best one yet out of the books I have recently been reading. I absolutely loved her first book too called, Miracle for Jen. A terrible and tragic accident her family suffered, but the their continued story since is so amazing and  beautiful. I  just love seeing how God is using their accident, their lives, and story for his glory and in great powerful ways.
The Barrick family is a wonderful source of inspiration to me. In this book I love how Linda says we need to turn our pain into purpose, and our wounds  into beauty marks. Which we can only do through Christ.

If you haven't heard of this family or would like to know more about them, their story, and their ministry that is changing  countless lives just google the Jen Barrick Family or look them up on YouTube.

My latest read. I keep coming across these good books on others experiences of loss, so I order it in. Read it. And share about it here.
I really like this one. A short book and quick easy read. My heart goes out to this young couple for the loss of their 2 babies. Very good book of hope through the mist of pain and sorrow.
To read more about this book, and to order yourself a copy, just look it up on Amazon as I did.

Choosing to See

5/18/2017

I first read, or mostly read anyway, the book by Steven Chapman  "Between Heaven and the Real World". In it he talked about the loss of their daughter. In the back of the book I seen  that his wife had written a book on their story too, "Choosing to See". So I quickly had my oldest son find and order it on Amazon for me. It arrived yesterday, and I immediately started devouring it.
I can tell this will be a great read for me. Just what I needed about now. I even looked up her web-site and went to the contact page and sent her a message thanking her for writing the book and sharing her story.
If you have been through the loss of a child as well, I am sure you would find it a blessing too.
