Our God is the God that goes before us. And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Duet. 31:8 Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. When things happen out of nowhere and we are taken completely off guard, what we forget is that it is just because we didn't know it was coming , God did. God knew and He was already preparing us, preparing the way, setting things in place to meet our needs and to help us get through this. He is the God who goes before us. The more you know about God the more faith you'll have. And just the opposite is true, What you don't know about God will kill you. The more we know our God and what He's done for His people before, and what He can still do, we can walk in greater faith, with more courage and boldness, and with a peace of mind. We need to remind ourselves of the miracles of God, like the parting of the red sea so the people could walk through on dry ground. How He shut the lion's mouth, quenched the fiery furnace, fed the people in the wilderness for forty years, made water come out of a rock, caused fire to come down from heaven and burn up the drenched altar and sacrifice. And Jesus who fed 5,000 with five loaves and 2 fish, turned water to wine, made the lame walk, caused the blind to see, healed leprosy, and walked on water. When we know our God, we don't tremble in fear over the stuff coming on the earth, a Dr diagnosis, an illness, a death of a loved one, ect.. Because when we know our God we know he goes before us , we know that all our unknowns are known to Him, nothing takes Him by surprise, and He's already made a way where there seems to be no way. He's already got a plan and He's working it out. I believe often our biggest problem today is that we forgot who our God is. It's time to remind ourselves who we serve. "They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt." psalms 106:21 And the children of Israel remembered not the LORD their God, who had delivered them out of the hands of all their enemies on every side: Judges 8:34 When life gets tough, remind yourself who your God is. When the news makes you worry, remind yourself who your God is. When you receive that scary Dr diagnosis, remind yourself who your God is. When that tragedy hits out of nowhere and you're wondering what life will be like now and how you'll ever go on with life, remind yourself who your God is. Our God is the healer of all our diseases, He forgives us of all our sins, redeems our lives from destruction , he covers us in tender mercies and loving kindness. That's who our God is. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 Mae Renfroe

Five Reasons to memorize Scripture Mae Renfroe A study on Truth. God is God of truth . If we don't have Truth we don't have God. I absolutely love all the verses that are about truth. And I wonder if we realize what truth really is and the importance of it. God is the God of truth! And I love this verse. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV We can't reject the truth and think we still have God. We can't substitute the truth or compromise the truth. If we love God we must love the truth and walk in the way of truth. There's no other way!! No other way to the Father but by the way of Truth only!! Mae Renfroe. But can I talk about where true freedom comes from. That's what we all need. so I hope you all enjoy this video. You can all visit my website and blog at www.maerenfroe.com thanks for watching! Mae Renfroe Welcome to this week's video. I talk about the importance of looking for God in the little things in life. Too often we can be looking for the big things and waiting on those answers for the big prayers we have been diligently praying, that we miss seeing God at work in the everyday. I share two very amazing God divine appointments in my life recently and encourage you all to not overlook or downplay those little things. The little things often have just as much importance or impact as the big things and in some cases even more. In Him, Mae Renfroe It's a new year! May we look forward to all the new things this year will hold! Look for new opportunities and new ideas for evangelism and outreach. Be open to new things God has for you to do or new places He wants you to go. He just needs eager servants, obedient believers, and devoted followers! Here is a link to the video I mentioned to David Platts message at Passion Conference 2022. It's very convicting and powerful message for our time. https://youtu.be/5afopHSciLU May each one of us be found faithfully living out the purpose of God in our lives! We must work the work of God while we still have time. And remember just as Jesus is we too are the light of the world. Mae Renfroe Hey there, and welcome to this video. I recap a bit in 2021 and give encouragement and inspiration to make the most of 2022. Inviting you to a more intimate relationship with God. Putting off the things of the world. So that we can be vessels for God's use. May we be found faithfully doing things God has called us to do while we yet have time. ' Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.' 2 Timothy 2:19-22 KJV Be inspired today to seek more of God and please and honor Him in everything and every area of your life. In this one I talk about my usual for this time of year. The traditions of Christmas, where they originated from, and why we should care, what God's Word has to say, and why it all matters. If you've never heard before that Christmas contains a lot of pagan origins surrounding the traditions, I understand you would find this upsetting and maybe even shocking. And my exciting news of some opportunities I have of being a guest on some podcasts!! In Him, Mae Closed doors are so hard when it's things you've been really hoping and waiting for and you thought it was the right thing. But we have to realize who is in control especially when we've been diligently praying for Him to guide and direct our lives, and when we consider it we certainly don't want that thing that doesn't have God's favor and blessing over it. Closed doors means He's got something better in mind. And when one door closes another one usually opens. God is our guide and our protector. And as we pray diligently for Him to guide, guard, and direct our lives, and then closed doors happen, that's Him doing just that. Keeping us from situations that are not the best for us. But closed doors don't always feel good at the time. I'm going through something right now. But I just have to keep trusting, keep resting in Him, and praising Him for His guiding hand over my life. And be alert for the doors he does open. I'll share a canva design I just made the other night from saying I just seen about closed doors. Probably why I find it so hard is my lack of patience. I want to see things happen soon, and when it doesn't I think I've did something wrong. Either not working hard enough in that direction, or not praying hard enough, not fasting. Or a number of things. It's hard for me to just realize and except that either it's just not God's timing yet, or maybe just not the door he wants me to walk through and he closed the door that I thought was open for me. So that's hard. Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:12 KJV Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV Mae Renfroe This is a well-known verse, but we often only hear the first part of it, there is more! And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: Deuteronomy 28:13 KJV So many of the blessings and promises that God tells us of in His Word almost say, " to them that love me and keep my commandments." So then why is it we hear people saying the commandments are done away. God never said that. I invite you to listen to this video and draw closer to the heart of God. And receive all God has done for us. For the t- shirt I'm wearing. you can find that on my friend's Etsy shop MutanaTribe www.etsy.com/shop/MutanaTribe?ref=usf_2020 Hi there, and welcome to PART 2 to living a joy filled life. ( original done as a video )
In the first part we covered Giving thanks, Rejoicing and praising the Lord, and forgiving. It’s not that I have this all figured out and am always living this joy filled life, but I know it's possible and it's spiritual. It’s possible and spiritual and there is really not any other way that we would want to live. Part 2 to six steps to living a joy filled life. ( steps 4 -6 ) 4. Dying to self - no longer I that liveth protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 1 Corinthians 15:31 Everyday we have to choose I'm going to die to flesh and live more for God, a little less of me and whole to more of Him. No longer is that liveth. Galatians 2:20 Denying the flesh, not living for self. :laying down our will for His. Full surrender. Thy kingdom, they will be done. Matthew 6:10 Seeking His will and His way in our lives. How do we die to self when we are still very much living? We have to lay down our will, our wants, our way, our will, and seek His. And we got to what He wants for us, His will, His desires for us. And in scripture we can read how he wants us to live and the plans and desires he has for us, and we have to really lay down our will and surrender completely to HIm. Completely every day surrender to Him, saying not my will but yours be done, and die to the flesh. I know that’s easier said than done, right? But its something we have to do everyday and with Gods help we can do it. I can do all things through christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. It’s something we have to do every day and seek his desires for your life. A little more of HIm and a little less of you. And just be very selfless in God and be kingdom focused. A little less of me today and a whole more of Him, and in doing so it will keep us joyful. “ All I need today is a little bit of coffee and a whole lot of Jesus.” 5. Seek first the kingdom of God Matthew 6:33 - 34 Not self focused. God focused. Others focused. Seek first the things of God. Things that please and honor God. That's very similar to dying to self. Just seeking first the kingdom and the things of God, seeking first his will and his ways, and helps us to be selfless. And we take the take the focus off us and put all our fucus on Him, and the more we do that the less we will think about us, and the things we want, or our will, or our feelings. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. Being focused on Him and on the things that please him, and thats what makes us more joyful. We are to seek to please HIm in all things, and so often we do things or watch movies that are not pleasing to him, and not really give much though to weather it’s pleasing to Him or not. We are more concerned if it will hurt us or effect us instead of if it is honoering or pleasing to Him. And we say things like it’s not evil, or it’s not hurting us, I enjoy it. We only think how it will effect us, nad yet it was never about us, it’s about Him and weather is pleasing or honoring to Him, and what hurts God does hurt us. Prove what is the good and perfect and acceptable will of God. Is this pleasing to God is this acceptable to God and not about . And we need to lay down what we want or we think is good, and see what He thinks is good, what His word say about it. And we can easily find that out in scripture. Philippians 4:6-8 6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. He will keep our hearts and minds when we keep focused on Him, and make our request known unto him with thanksgiving in our hearts. And keep us in peace that we can even wrap our minds around. Veres 8 is how we know what is pleasing to God, so we can say it’s ok, i don’t mind, but it wasnt about us but about Him. He gave us a perfect guideline about what to watch or read or listen too ect… This is my go to verse that i go to rate a movie, book, song, etc… I often say either memorize this veres or tape it to your laptop or tv screen. Tape it somewhere handy and so you can think is it lovely, is it pure, is it of good report, is it true, etc…. If not out it goes. Because we want to please the Lord in all things and all areas of our lives, so we have to keep laying down what we think is good and what we want., or what we think, but what he thinks, because its all about him. It’s just wonderful when we lay ourselves down completly and choose His way and His will and we will be truly happy. Thats how we can truly live a joyfilled life. 6. Trust - Trusting God in all things and every situation Trust and rest in God knowing he is in control which brings peace of mind. Psalm 27:14 ; Psalms 31:24; Isaiah 26:34; Psalm 29:11; Psalms 13:5-6; Psalms 147:11 Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 Isaiah 26:3-4New King James Version 3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You,Because he trusts in You.4 Trust in the Lord forever,For in Yah, the Lord, is [a]everlasting strength. You want to be in perfect peace, keep your minds on Jesus. Don’t keep our mind or our focus on the news, on your troubles, problems, and the things around you. That’s whats going to keep us down and get us worried about things when we listen to the news, and all the crazy stuff going on. God will keep in perfect peace those who keep their minds on HIm. But its a choice we have to make and keep on making. The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear Him in those that hope in his mercy. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. The LORD taketh pleasure in those that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. Psalms 147: 10- 11 Proverbs 3: 5-6 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. We don’t want to rely on our own way or our own thinking, but on God’s. OUr ways are not HIs ways and our thoughts not His thoughts, so we can see we don’t always think the way He does, so not everything we think is good, or right to do isn’t necessarily His way. so we got to be purposeful about desiring that. The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 1 Corinthians:3:19 Isaiah 55: 7-8 7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Keeping your mind focused on God He will keep you in perfect peace, not with your mind on the news and the things happening around you. Not on your disappointments, not on your failures, not on others faults. When we are completely trusting in God, we will be at perfect peace. We will stay joyful. Being in complete surrender and giving him full control of our lives. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Psalms 31:24 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4 So that’s our desire to dwell in the house of the Lord. Psalms 13: 5-6 5But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. 6I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. That’s about rejoicing In God. So that’s like i mention in the last one about always thanking and praising the Lord because there is always something to thank and praise Him for. Like when i get up in the morning,’I'm like thank you lord thank you Lord. Nad just always pressing him for his goodness and faithfulness, and for who He is. Just rejoicing in GOd for all that He has done for us. There is so much, always something to praise Him about and parise Him for. Psalms 29:11 11The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. So we will keep in perfect peace when we keep our minds on Him. Conclude: In every state I’m i've learned to be content. It’s not that I have this all figured out and am always living this joy filled life, but I know it's possible and it's spiritual. It’s not that we will always be walking on sunshine, but when we live out the 6 secrets of living a joy filled life then we can stay above the waters when the clouds do come, which they will. And when we have learned to be content in whatever state we are in. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content.KJV Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. NIV These things are not something you just do once, but something you do on a daily basis. A choice you make every day. To give thanks in all things in everything and every situation. Rejoice, forgive, seek first the kingdom of God, trust God, perfect trust. We have to let go. Its hard because we want to hold on, and we want to do things our way and in our time. Yes, but we are worried about this or we don’t know about that. We think He can’t possibly be in control of that or do that for us. God can’t take care of that. We got to let God and let Him be in control. We got to be in control and now we feel better, but we don’t want to be in control because we just take care of things like He does, we don’t know what's best. So we have to let go and let Him have control over every area of our lives. Then we can rest and be joyful because we know that everything will be ok, because He got it and is in perfect control and there are no accidents with God. Nothing takes Him by surprise. The full surrender of our lives to Him, and completely trusting, with a perfect trust, brings peace, comfort, and joy. You then can have a joyful heart and joy filled life regardless of what life brings your way. There is no safe place to be. No stronger arms. He is our refuge, strong tower, our strength, our place of quite and peace, regardless of what is going on in our lives. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteous. That your joy may be full. 1 John 1:4 Mark 4:7 ( We got to focus on Godly concerns and not worldly concerns. Colossians 3:1-2, 1. Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is youra life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. ( For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26 ) Nehemiah 8:10 Joy of the Lord is your strength Proverbs 17:22 Merry heart doeth good like medicine Have you ever been around someone that is always full of joy? No matter what’s going on in their life, they're upbeat & positive. Well they must know the secrets to living a joy filled life.
How can you live a joy-filled life when things are not always going smoothly? If you're faced with great disappointments in life, or have gone through tragedies and your life has been changed forever? Or when things are not going your way, when things don't happen the way you wanted, when you wanted and how you wanted? When life isn't going the way you thought it would. This is especially vital for us mothers since we are the heart or center of the home. As the saying goes, “If momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy.” Or my spin on it, “If you have a stinking attitude the whole house will smell.” How we are feeling, and the attitudes we express, and how we go about our days really affect the whole household. And more often than not our children will pick up on it and portray the same thing. Just as there is always things to be thankful for if we would just look, we also will always have things we could complain about too, but we all know regardless of how much we grip, wine, complain, fret, or worry over something it won’t change anything, so this is an area we really have to be purposeful about. In part one I cover the first 3 steps that I put together on living a joy-filled life. Learning to give thanks in all things, rejoicing constantly, and continuously forgiving. A full and abundant life is possible in Christ, and is the life He intended for us, when we heed his words, and the things He instructed us to do. He gave us these commands, instructions, and guidelines for our good. There is a reason. It wasn’t withhold any good thing from us, but that we would have a more abundant and fuller and richer life in him. And I don't mean the riches the world can give, that is so temporary and fleeting. Jesus said, “A thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they might have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). People often talk about God doing “exceeding abundantly, beyond all we can ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). In part 2 I cover the last 3 of the six steps to living a joy filled life: Dying to self, Seeking first the Kingdom of God, and Trusting God.
This veres doesn’t just say to be thankful when things are going smoothly, it says to be thankful in everything. No matter what happens in life.Thankful in difficulties, in disappointments, in tragedies, on good days, on bad bad days. Sick days, well days. We can always find things to be thankful for. As the saying goes there is a silver lining to every cloud. There is always a bright side to every negative thing. But we have to be more diligent and very purposeful about finding it. We can always find something to be thankful for even in a major tragedy, and when we do it lifts the spirits, allows you to smile even with tears in your eyes, and heals the heart bit by bit. Like when we lost our son we found things to be thankful for, lifting our spirits. We were thankful that he died very quickly, with no suffering, that he didn’t have any of the other little ones with him, thankful for our new baby who was really healing to my heart, thankful for my other children. And be thankful for the very simple everyday things in life, the ones we often take for granted, like the gift of a new day or life it’s self. Since we lost our son I see life in a new light, each new day as a gift from God, and life nothing short of a miracle. When I wake each morning I thank him for the new day. And I thank Him for life. I’m awake, I’m alive, thank you God!! We are still here, we are alive and breathing! There is still time and hope for our plans and our dreams, and what God wants to do in us, and through us for others, and for us. There is so much to be thankful for all the time. In the same way though there are always things we could complain about too, but we all know regardless of how much we grip, wine, or fret over something it won’t change, so this is an area we really have to be purposeful about. And when we are always grateful and thankful our countenance is joyful and others can see that joy in you and they can wonder, “Wow, why is she happy ? She has gone through all this and she is still smiling.” Only God. And staying grateful and thankful and always looking for things to be thankful for. Everyday I look for something new. Yes, you will have to be purposeful about it. And you're doing it with a purpose in mind. I encourage you to do that everyday and you will see what it will do for your heart and spirit. 2.Rejoicing - rejoice evermore Rejoicing and finding things to praise the Lord for. Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, rejoice. Philippians 4:4 Praise the Lord. Rejoicing is similar to being thankful. Rejoicing in every situation. Focus on the blessings. Focus on what we do have and not what we don’t. Rejoicing in the Lord for who he is. That He is our great and mighty Lord, our refuge, our strength, our protector, our redeemer. OUr strong tower. Our help in times of trouble. Our hope, peace, comfort. He is always there with us and for us. And when negative thoughts come, speak life over them and truth over them in Jesus. Shoot all negative thoughts down with praise and rejoicing to the Lord. Yes, I may be worried about this, but my God is good, He is on the throne and in control. Yes, but I'm serving a great God, and He has said he would never leave me nor forsake me. Yes, this may have happened, but I’m in God and He has me, yes this is bothering me, but God loves me, I am forgiven, I’m chosen, I’m His daughter. Just thank them, and rejoice in his goodness and greatness, and what He has done for us, and through us. There are so many things to rejoice and thank him for, and just do it throughout the day. And Rejoice in the things we usually take for granted, Like rejoicing in HIm for your marriage, your children, your good health, a roof over our heads, a dependable vehicle, a warm house, etc… Be mindful throughout the day to do that. The more we do that the more we will find to rejoice about. And that lifts us up and puts joy in our steps. Rejoicing that He loves us, cares for us, calls us by name. Psalm 146:5 Happy is the man who has God as his help and his hope is in the Lord. That is what keeps us joyful! Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.KJV Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. NIV 1 Peter 4:13-17 Rejoice in tribulation and in sufferings for Christ sake. Mathew 5:12 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philpiallans 4:8 3. Forgiving -Matthew 6 14-15 - love and charity Forgiving is so powerful and healing. Having a forgiving spirit and forgiving attitude. Matthew 6:14-15New King James Version 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Always forgiving. We will be hurt, and not like in tragedies, but by our spouses, by other family, or just things in life. Sure this may be easier said than done, but we can do that in Christ, He gives us the ability to forgive. and we just have to keep forgiving, and keep forgiving, it’s an ongoing thing as long as we are living. We have to seek to do that and be very purposeful about it, and we can. And dying to self, because it’s really not us living anymore, but Christ living in us. And if we can truly live like that, die to ourselves and not be so consumed on ourselves and our little feelings, and be more concerned about and looking out for others, and not have these little pity parties and wow me attitude, then we can be forgiving, because we want to be joyful. Not forgiving is just being down in spirit and low. But when we can forgive we can just get on with our lives and these things won’t keep bothering us anymore. Like sometimes my husband says something or does something that hurts me or disappointed me and I've let that get me down. And I know he needs to tell me he is sorry and until he tells me sorry I will be upset at him. So finally I'm tired of being upset at him and I go to him and say I'm tired of being upset. Let's get this over with I don’t want to be mad at you anymore. So when i mention that to him, he is usually a little quicker to tell me he is sorry that he would have, and then i'm like great, now we are good again. Let's be happy, let's not be upset and that helps us joyfull each day. Forgiving is so powerful and healing and life giving, but we have to be intentional about it, and as the other things we have to continually be forging throughout our days everyday. Not worrying about the future. Philippians 4:5-7 So today we covered being thankful, rejoicing, and forgiving. And just got to keep doing things everyday, it's a choice we have to make. The choice we have to make is to be thankful, rejoice in the Lord to praise the Lord no matter what happens, be grateful, in whatever situation we are in, and forgiving. And we know that when we forgive others, God forgives us because we know we do plenty _ everyday, we are not perfect, we keep making mistakes. If we want to be forgoing, we have to be forgiven. And that keeps us joyful and keeps us going. Have you just added God to your life? And is He just a part of your life? God doesn't want just a part of you, He wants all of you. And he doesn't just want to be a part of your life. We are not to just add Jesus to our lives, and go on as normal. Or make Him just a part of our lives, He needs to be our life, at the center of everything. The breath that we breath. We got to move from co-pilot to pilot, or backseat driver to the driver of our lives. We got to take our hands of the controls and give it over to the one who uatilmately is in control in the first place and do better at than us. Every thing we do needs to with wheather it's pleasing to God or not, kingdom focused, and not self or money focused or driven. But all our descions and things we do should be driven by God. A man makes his plans, but God directs His path. A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9 KJV My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord , and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:1-7 KJV We got to be very prayerful when making descions and rather it's for the right reasons. And live He is the one in control and not us. But how do we really practice that and live that out in our lives. Like the verses say, It's no longer I that liveth, but He that liveth in me. But how do we do that daily? I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 KJV I guess as Paul said, "I die daily.". 1 corinthians 15:31 It's a daily thing. To choose to lay down our selves, our will and and desires for His. Choosing His way. Mae Renfroe Growing in our relationship with Jesus is an on going process. It's something we do daily. And we have to want God in our lives. And desire and seek after Him with all our being. Our relationship with God does not grow without us doing our part. Seeking Him first. Making Him Lord of our life. Setting aside time to get in His word to read and study, memorize scripture, etc... And establishing a consistent and daily prayer life. Making prayer a top priority in our lives. We have to be purposeful about guarding our hearts and minds making time and space for God in our lives to be fits place. And remember I do speaking, so check out my speaking page on my blog while you are at it!! Mae Renfroe This is a repost from early spring 2019 when I first did these videos. Recently I had been thinking of these 2 videos and how I wanted to turn them into a written blog post as well as a message I could use for speaking purposes. I decided to share them again here on my blog for whoever may not have seen them when they were first posted. This was in my early video making so the quality may not be as good, but the message is still great!! So may you enjoy, and I do hope you would pass them to someone who could be blessed by these. Welcome to parts one and two to living a joy-filled life! How can you live joy-filled life when things are not always going smooth? If you your faced with great disappointments in life, or have gone through tragedies and your life as been changed forever? Or when things are not going your way, when things don't happen the way you wanted, when you wanted and how you wanted? In part one I cover the first 3 steps that I put together on living a joy-filled life. Learning to give thanks in all things, rejoicing constantly, and continuously forgiving. In part 2 I cover the last 3 of the six steps to living a joy filled life: Dieing to self, Seeking first the Kingdom of God, and Trusting God. For helpful grief resources, and to find me on my blog or website please visit Mae Renfroe Welcome to part 2 of Getting our fulfillment and spiritual food from God, Not the Church. In Jesus and with Jesus abiding in our hearts and lives, we can and always should feel spiritually full and alive. If we feel spiritual dead it's not the churches fault. we need to check ourselves, do a heart check. Are we still connected? How often do we think about God? How often do read His Word? How often do we Pray? Memorize scripture? Spiritual feeding happens on a daily basis right in our homes. We have a loving Heavenly Father who wants to come meet and dwell with us right in our homes on a daily, hourly, and minute basis. We are always in the presence of the Lord. We can each come before Him individually, and know Him personally. Not through a priest or prophet as in old times. But through a one on one conection with God.
