Sometimes it feels like God doesn't hear us. We can go through seasons like this. Praying and and desiring something and not seeing it, though deep down we know He hears us. We'll read some scripture about God hearing us to remind ourselves that God hears us and sees us. And then I would like for us to share stories, instances, or examples in our lives of God hearing us. Or Seeing God in the little everyday things. It's always encouraging to see how God works in others lives. And close with prayer requests. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. I John 5:14-15 NKJV And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Palms 139:4 Jeremiah 33:3, ESV Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known The angel of the Lord also said to her: “You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard of your misery. Genesis 16:11 NIV She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13 NIV God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Gen. 21:17 Genesis 29:32 Leah conceived and bore a son and named him Reuben, for she said, “Because the Lord has seen my affliction; surely now my husband will love me.” Genesis 29:31 Now the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, and He opened her womb, but Rachel was barren. Exodus 3:7 The Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. Acts 7:34 I have certainly seen the oppression of My people in Egypt and have heard their groans, and I have come down to rescue them; come now, and I will send you to Egypt.’ The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Psalms 34:17-18 NKJV Mae Renfroe Beware of false prophets and false prophecies. It's out there. It's real. And God has warned us numerous times through out the Bible. it's time we take notice and take heed, and to know the Word and truth so that we are not decieved, and to let others know. Satan has many tactics to win as many people as he can in the short amount of time he has left. He's very crafty. And he comes with some truth , but not all the truth. Since I did this video I came across a few more verses about false prophets and false prophecies that go with this. So I'll share those verses here along with the video. please beware of false prophets which are really abounding today, Satan does mighty wonders and miracles to deceive many as possible. And he knows his time is getting shorter. Read what the Bible says about it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:15, 22-23 KJV And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. Revelation 13:12-14 KJV And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Revelation 16:13-14 KJV You know how everyone loves to have a job with lots of great benefits? Well did you know that the benefits of God are much better and everlasting than any job here on earth could ever give. I mean their benefits are great for sure, but let's check out the benefits of serving God. They can't even begin to give us what God can give us. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Psalm 103:2-6 KJV Peace, joy, forgiveness, redemption, comfort, provision, hope, salvation, mercy, loving kindness , healing, and so much more! But let's not forget that in this world we will walk through trouble, trials, death of loved ones, and have tribulation, but in the midst of it in Him we still have hope and peace, and are surrounded by His presence. We still have all His benefits and promises. Though we must make the choice of abiding and dwelling in Him. Rest and trust. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26:3-4 KJV The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; Psalm 103:8, 11-12, 17 KJV I love the story of Moses raising his arms up in battle in Exodus 17:8-15. This is very significant I believe that Moses had his arms raised in battle toward heaven. Giving honor to God to whom his help came from. Knowing the battle belonged to God and that they couldn't do it without Him. And praising God for the victory before he saw the miracle. Believing the victory before seeing it. And praising God in advance. There's something powerful in that. Raise your arms in praise and worship right now for the One that is fighting your battles! You are never alone!! I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. Psalm 121:1-5 KJV Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah–nissi: Exodus 17:8-15 KJV Music: Sweet Musician: LiQWYD URL: http://www.soundcloud.com/liqwyd Sometimes God takes us through things we would rather not go through, or into situations we would rather not be in, to get us to places in life He needs us. To prepare us for the work He has for us, so that we can touch lives that He wants us to touch. To touch lives that we never could have, had we not walked that difficult journey, experienced that loss, went through that tragedy, that unfair situation, or rejection, etc.. Like the story of Joseph in the Bible, God is getting us into the place or position He needs us to be in to do the work He has for us to accomplish. It's in the middle of those painful and difficult things that bring spiritual growth in our lives, and we learn to trust our Heavenly Father even more. All of which is part of the preparation. In the midst of our trials and storms we experienced His peace, His love, His comfort, His presence, His guiding hand, His provision, His protection, and we found Him faithful and trustworthy. God did not abandon you, He is preparing you for the work He has for you! Our greatest spiritual growth moments don't happen when everything is going smooth & rosy, and falling in place just how we want and when we want. There's no strength in that. There's no growing. But rather it's in those times of difficulty that we grow. It puts our faith to a test. And we see just how much we need Jesus. When we've walked through pain and sorrow; yet we see His hand at work in our lives. In the midst of our storms we feel His presence and peace, and we see miracles happen. We know He is active and present in our. And we know we couldn't do life without Him. The things that our enemy thought would break us, make us stronger! It's easy to praise God when everything is going great. But we praise Him in the midst of our times of difficulty as well. That's acknowledging that He is still good to us. He never said life would be easy, but He would always be with us. He said He would never leave us nor forsake us. And Jesus told us in this world there would be tribulation. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Mae Renfroe Five reasons/benefits of reading the Bible together daily by Mae Renfroe. I share the importance and benefits of reading the Bible together daily in our home. don't underestimate the power of the Word in your home. The more you have it pouring in , the more you have it pouring out! Mae Renfroe Hey you all! Here are my five reasons I do nighttime devotions with my children. Mae Renfroe Believing what we know even though we can’t see it 2 Corinthians 5:6-7 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are to live and walk by faith not by sight. We've all heard the saying and probably said it ourselves many times, “ I'll believe it when I see it.” Maybe that’s ok for just earthly things, but when it comes to God and the things God has promised us it doesn’t work like that. We have to believe before we see it or we won't see it. The story in the Bible about the Iserliite people is the perfect example of this. Beauce of their unbelief they were kept out of the promised land. They didn't believe God had already been going before them and had been their help and protection, would be with them again conquer the giants in the land. Because of a lack of trust and unbelieve they didn't see it. Numbers 14:11-45) "For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? Hebrews 3:16-17 KJV "And to whom swear he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief." Hebrews 3:18-19 KJV ( see more notes below the video ) There are so many things that we have to believe and trust God for without seeing it.
And so many of the promises and blessings of God are only to those who believe. It’s not just for everyone, but everyone to whom believes. Salvation is to those who believe. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 KJV God’s supernatural healing and protection to those who believe. If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:2 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” Luke 8:50 Blessed are those who believe without seeing. John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. God’s promises are to those who believe. Most of us don’t want to believe something until we see it. But the promises of God are almost never seen until we believe. God wants us to believe Him, In Him what He says He will do without us having to see it first. We need to have enough faith and believe In God enough that we can boldly say, “I will believe it even if I don’t see it.” The 3 young men that were thrown in the fiery furnace believed without a doubt that their God could deliver them from the furnace even if they didn't see it. EVEN IF, they weren't bowing down!! If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Daniel 3:17-18 KJV The more we believe God for the more we will see. What are you Believing God for? What is the miracle you are Believing God for? How much are you Believing God for. The more you believe the more you will see. And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Matthew 13:57-58 KJV Praising God for the amazing turn out to Gospel message in the park. It didn't go as I had expected or prayed for, but it went above and beyond all my expectations. All glory to God. God went way beyond my expectations for the gospel message in the park. praise be to God. Ephesians 3:20 May you be blessed and encouraged to trust God in everything you do. His Word will not go out void! And if you would like have me come and share at your church or ladies group please contact me. Visit my speaking page here. Mae Renfroe P.S. At the time of sharing this blog post we are up to 523 views on the Facebook video. YAHOO!!! Hey Everyone! Here is my message I gave in the park in our community this weekend. May this Word encourage and inspire you to go deeper in your walk with God so you can experience all that He has for you. So you can live a full live here on earth for God and have the hope of heaven one day when He returns to take His people Home. This world is not our true home, this earth will pass away, we are just passing through. And if we don't have God in our lives now we won't have God or the hope of heaven later. If it's not God we want now, It's not God we will have later. So may you be inspired and empowered in your walk with God. And may you in turn be a light to others so they too may have this same hope in Jesus. We can't keep it to ourselves. In Him, Mae P.S. If you would like me to share this same message in your church or community, like a park such as this one, or a community hall, just let me know. I would love to come share. Please see my speaking page or use the contact box. I'm also very eager to have opportunities to share my complete story of loss and a message hope and encouragement I have put together to encourage those going through hard things or difficult season in life. ![]() Hi from my home to yours! I just wanted to share some scripture with you today that I find so encouraging, and something I think we could all benefit from right now. God has commanded us to be strong and courageous! Joshua 1:9 We are not to be timid or fearful. But strong, bold, and walking confidently walking in the power and grace of God! He didn't give us a spirit of fear but a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1;7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. KJV For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. NIV And Jesus said greater is He in us than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. NIV You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. KJV May you be encouraged by this little video. And may you be strong and courageous and confident in who we are in Him today and every day! To connect with me you can leave a comment here on my website/blog . I would love to hear from you and be a support and encouragement to you in your walk with God, or in your mothering, or if you are going through grief right now that seems unbearable. Leave me a comment and i will get back to you as soon as i can. Mae Renfroe We have had 3 deaths in our family in less than 3 years, (our 14 year-old son on April 19th, 2017, my Dad on Oct. 6, 2018, and my brother Lee on Dec.22, 2019) , so death and dying has been on our minds a lot lately. I have looked up verses on this subject, and found 25 comforting verses about death and those dying in Christ, and have them listed here. My daughters and I will be doing a podcast on this as well in the near future. May you find these verses comforting and encouraging. Mae Renfroe Comforting Bible Verses about Death for Those Dying in Christ
Copied from this link below https://www.kevinhalloran.net/comforting-bible-verses-about-death-and-dying-in-christ/ Romans 8:38-39 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:51-57 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 1 Corinthians 2:9 What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him. Revelation 1:17-18 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.” Revelation 14:1 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” Romans 14:7-9 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. Philippians 1:21-23 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 2 Corinthians 5:6-9 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. 1 Peter 1:23-25 …You have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” Job 1:21 And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Comforting Bible Verses about Death from the Psalms Psalm 16:8-11 I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 34:4-5 I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. Psalm 46:1-2 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea. Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. Psalm 73:25-26 Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 149:6 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. This is a blog post I started writing this past summer and just now finished. These things came to me in my pondering about what God must be thinking of, or feels about, the things we do or don't do. God's greatest blessings to you my dear friend! In Him, Mae Renfroe [email protected] ![]() The role we play We have a role to play to be on the receiving end of God’s peace and blessings. Isaiah 26:3-4 (KJV) 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: God is the one who keeps us going. He is the one who gives us peace, and not just peace, but perfect peace. He is the one who heals our broken hearts, restores, and gives us joy again. God gives us hope. He gives us strength. He gives us comfort, and the courage to keep on going. And keep going strong. He gives us a new lease on life. But we have a role to play, and a job to do in all of this. 6 Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 6-7 We have to make the choice to trust Him. To rest in Him. To believe Him. To stay in His Word. To believe His Word. And trust His Word, that what He said He will do. Trust Him for who He is and what He does. Keep holding on to faith. And keep hoping. To choose joy over self-pity. To choose to go through. To keep our heads and eyes lifted up to Him. To let go of our own strength and wisdom and seek His. To keep trusting and believing that He will do His part and keep us in perfect peace. He said, “ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Mathew 11:28 He restores. He heals. He gives hope again. He gives life. But we have to trust and believe. Believe He is who He says He is, that we are who He says we are, and that He can do what He says he can do. Believe, trust, and cling with all our hearts and minds. And He will give us perfect peace. We have to preserve, and keep going, even when the going gets tough. God didn’t say it would be easy. He didn’t say it would be pain-free. But He said, “ Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6 And in Isaiah 41:10 (KJV),” Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Good thoughts and inspiration only come from being in His Word, and communing with Him. Oh, the peace we often forfeit and needless pain we bear, the only because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. And because we do not seek God, draw unto Him, read His Word regularly, and keep our minds on Him, and on the things above. What the world gives us is short term and temporal. What God gives us is long term and eternal. The world gives us band-aids or a quick fix. God gives us complete and perfect healing. The world gives us pleasure to make us feel good for a short time, but often that brings about even more problems in the long run. God gives us that which will outlast this lifetime. So we keep trusting He’s got a plan in what He brings us through, even though we can’t see that plan. We can either allow our pain and sorrow to swallow us up and make us bitter. Or we can go through strong and victorious and come out for the better!
We have to keep believing that He is working all things for our good. ( Romans 8:28 ) God knows best. We are here for His glory. To serve His purpose. To bring others to Him. It is not about us. It’s all about Him. And if we have a heart after God, that is exactly what we will want, and seek after. His purpose will become our purpose. Our ways will be fashioned after His ways. And our thoughts on the things above. Colossians 3:1-3 Rest, Believe, trust. Repeat. Keep your mind on Him. And stay in perfect peace! In Him, Mae Just wanted to get on here quick this evening and share some encouraging words. No matter what you might be going through right now. Regardless of how hard and painful it may be. I have is good news for you. There is hope and healing for the broken in heart! God is a healer of broken hearts! And He is our source of comfort, peace, and strength. He hears your crys, He knows your pain, and He cares. Some times things happen that are completely out of our control that we don't understand and we don't need to. We just need to know who is in charge and who is on the throne. And rest assured, He is holding your hand. He is in control and He's got this. In Isaiah 55:8-9 we read , " For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord." "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than yours, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Deuteronomy 29:29 "The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law." It is the hard things in life, the things we cannot understand that us bring closer to where God wants us. He has a plan we cannot see - a plan far greater than anything we could ever hope for or imagine. I get excited thinking about it, don't you? Here is beautiful quote. "There are some circumstances over which we have no control. However, if we are redeemed children of God, we are exactly where He wants us, because His sovereignty rules over all our situations." - Charles F. Stanley Below is a little devotion of Corrie ten Boom's that I find very encouraging and comforting. In Christ our Hope and Strength, Mae Jesus did not promise to change the circumstances around us. He promised great peace and pure joy to those who would learn to believe that God actually controls all things. "One day, when He shows Himself in full splendor to men, you will be filled with the most tremendous joy.... You can be sure that God's spirit of glory... is resting upon you." 1 Peter 13-14 Your will be done, father. Teach us that you, not we control our lives for our own good. - Corrie ten Boom Welcome to week 5 of my video blog posts! So happy we are 5 weeks into this new year, and I managed to keep up with every video so far. Praise the Lord! I love doing these, and I am so glad I committed myself to do this. I have been wanting to do something regular for sometime, but kept putting it off. And it just seemed so hard for me to actually do something like this. But once I made up my mind that I would, I find it easy. So I encourage you to do the same. Is there something on your heart you have been wanting and waiting to do? Sometimes we have to stop holding back waiting for that perfect moment, and just do it! In Him, Mae In this video I talk about God's amazing love. Be encouraged and blessed!
Isn't that so amazing! God loves us right where we are. Regardless of what you've been through, what your past make look like, how cheap or used you may feel, and no matter what ugly and deep sins has been committed God still loves you. There is nothing too great you have done that He will not forgive. God is saying daughter, "I love you just the way you are, come onto me and I will give you a clean and fresh start. I will make you brand-new from the inside out!" We don't have to change for Him to love us. He loves us so much the way we are that He doesn't want us to stay that way. It is after we give our lives to Him that He begins the change in us to make us more like himself. In Him we become a brand-new person and a new creation. The brand-new person does not come first and then God loves. No, God loves us first. 1 John 4:19( KJV) "We love him, because he first loved us." Romans 5:8 (KJV) "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." In the book of John we read the beautiful story of the woman caught in adultery and of Jesus forgiveness. Her accusers, the scribes and pharisees, wanted her stoned as was the custom then. But Jesus simply said," Go, and sin no more." John 8:1-11 (KJV) 1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. You can also read another amazing story of Jesus's love and forgiveness to a woman in Luke 7:36-50. What a loving God we have. Enjoy and soak in these verses on His love for you. Ephesians 2:4-5 (KJV)4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) John 3:16 (KJV)16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Zephaniah 3:17 ( NIV)The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. John 5:13 (KJV)13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 1 John 4:16 (KJV)16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 3:1 (KJV)3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 4:8 (KJV)8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Galatians 2:20 (KJV) 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Psalm 86:15 (KJV)15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Psalm 136:26 (KJV)26 O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever. Deuteronomy 7:9 (KJV)9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; 1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV)6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Dear friend, I may not know what you have been through, but I know that I serve a loving and merciful God and that He will forgive all your sins and make you make a brand-new person. Just cry unto Him confessing your sins and acknowledging your need for him and He will give you new life! This is your moment. He is waiting for you. In Him, Mae P.S. Be comforted with these verses knowing there is nothing that can separate you from God's love. Romans 8:37 ( NIV ) No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
