I have been passionate about encouraging fellow moms in their mothering and drawing women closer to the heart of God and have been doing so for a number of years through my blog and, more recently, via my YouTube channel and my Facebook grief group. Even in the unbearable seasons of life, He is nearer than we sometimes think. He promises never to leave us nor forsake us. We have to keep believing, keep trusting, keep loving, keep worshiping, and keep praising. Five Reasons to memorize Scripture Mae Renfroe Five years since the loss of our precious son, Clayton. In this video I give hope, encouragement, and helpful resources for those walking a difficult journey in life. And I share about my latest book, Holding on to Hope. For much of the resources mentioned in this video visit my website and blog. And for the book on my website as well. For the video series I mentioned, Hope From the Cemetery series summer 2020, look here on my YouTube channel. Mae Renfroe Music: Sweet Musician: LiQWYD URL: http://www.soundcloud.com/liqwyd A study on Truth. God is God of truth . If we don't have Truth we don't have God. I absolutely love all the verses that are about truth. And I wonder if we realize what truth really is and the importance of it. God is the God of truth! And I love this verse. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV We can't reject the truth and think we still have God. We can't substitute the truth or compromise the truth. If we love God we must love the truth and walk in the way of truth. There's no other way!! No other way to the Father but by the way of Truth only!! Mae Renfroe. Music: Sweet Musician: LiQWYD URL: http://www.soundcloud.com/liqwyd This week the children and I took a much needed spring break. But I didn't want it to be just a wasted week. I wanted them to continue their learning and also find creative or productive things to do. So one of the things we are doing in the mornings is thinking together of things they would like to see how they are made. Then we look them up on YouTube and watch them on our big screen. It's very interesting and educational to see how things are made on a huge scale and in massive quantities in the factories. YouTube can really add to your education plan for your children's school and make it work for you in a good and positive way. But be careful of the junk there as well. Mae Renfroe Music: Sweet Musician: LiQWYD URL: http://www.soundcloud.com/liqwyd There's a mainstream Christianity that isn't built on the truth of God's word. Jesus warned us of false prophets, false doctrine, and lying wonders Satan would be doing to deceive as many as possible, and especially in the last days. How alert we must be and constant in the Word of God. Please read Matthew 7: 21-23, Matthew 24, and 2 Thessalonians 2. Mae Renfroe Is there something you've been praying for, hoping for, and excitedly waiting for but it's just not coming about when you wanted, how you wanted, or not looking at all they way you thought it would? Don't lose hope, hang in there, God's working it out in His timing and His way for His glory and your good! His way doesn't always look the way we imagine it would. And when we have to wait on things it builds character, strength, patience, perseverance and endurance. So it's all good!! Mae Renfroe Here is the video I referred to this video called How The Megachurch Destroyed Christianity. https://youtu.be/5BuiwgGqNx4 Hey there, and a big welcome to my blog! Welcome to this week's blog post which a YouTube video. Hi, I'm Mae Renfroe. I blog, write books, and do YouTube videos to give hope, encouragement, and inspiration! As well as speaking as I get opportunities. To find my new book please visit my book page. In this video I mentioned a podcast called, From Mess to Miracle, that I had an opportunity to be on and that episode will come out on December 9th, 2021. So you can look forward to that. Take care and God bless. Hey, I just did this short video to introduce my YouTube channel to anyone new here, and for those of you that have been following along and enjoying my channel. An introduction of who I am and what I do here ony channel. This is something you can share with others. Closed doors are so hard when it's things you've been really hoping and waiting for and you thought it was the right thing. But we have to realize who is in control especially when we've been diligently praying for Him to guide and direct our lives, and when we consider it we certainly don't want that thing that doesn't have God's favor and blessing over it. Closed doors means He's got something better in mind. And when one door closes another one usually opens. God is our guide and our protector. And as we pray diligently for Him to guide, guard, and direct our lives, and then closed doors happen, that's Him doing just that. Keeping us from situations that are not the best for us. But closed doors don't always feel good at the time. I'm going through something right now. But I just have to keep trusting, keep resting in Him, and praising Him for His guiding hand over my life. And be alert for the doors he does open. I'll share a canva design I just made the other night from saying I just seen about closed doors. Probably why I find it so hard is my lack of patience. I want to see things happen soon, and when it doesn't I think I've did something wrong. Either not working hard enough in that direction, or not praying hard enough, not fasting. Or a number of things. It's hard for me to just realize and except that either it's just not God's timing yet, or maybe just not the door he wants me to walk through and he closed the door that I thought was open for me. So that's hard. Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:12 KJV Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV Mae Renfroe Hi there, and welcome to PART 2 to living a joy filled life. ( original done as a video )
In the first part we covered Giving thanks, Rejoicing and praising the Lord, and forgiving. It’s not that I have this all figured out and am always living this joy filled life, but I know it's possible and it's spiritual. It’s possible and spiritual and there is really not any other way that we would want to live. Part 2 to six steps to living a joy filled life. ( steps 4 -6 ) 4. Dying to self - no longer I that liveth protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 1 Corinthians 15:31 Everyday we have to choose I'm going to die to flesh and live more for God, a little less of me and whole to more of Him. No longer is that liveth. Galatians 2:20 Denying the flesh, not living for self. :laying down our will for His. Full surrender. Thy kingdom, they will be done. Matthew 6:10 Seeking His will and His way in our lives. How do we die to self when we are still very much living? We have to lay down our will, our wants, our way, our will, and seek His. And we got to what He wants for us, His will, His desires for us. And in scripture we can read how he wants us to live and the plans and desires he has for us, and we have to really lay down our will and surrender completely to HIm. Completely every day surrender to Him, saying not my will but yours be done, and die to the flesh. I know that’s easier said than done, right? But its something we have to do everyday and with Gods help we can do it. I can do all things through christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. It’s something we have to do every day and seek his desires for your life. A little more of HIm and a little less of you. And just be very selfless in God and be kingdom focused. A little less of me today and a whole more of Him, and in doing so it will keep us joyful. “ All I need today is a little bit of coffee and a whole lot of Jesus.” 5. Seek first the kingdom of God Matthew 6:33 - 34 Not self focused. God focused. Others focused. Seek first the things of God. Things that please and honor God. That's very similar to dying to self. Just seeking first the kingdom and the things of God, seeking first his will and his ways, and helps us to be selfless. And we take the take the focus off us and put all our fucus on Him, and the more we do that the less we will think about us, and the things we want, or our will, or our feelings. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. Being focused on Him and on the things that please him, and thats what makes us more joyful. We are to seek to please HIm in all things, and so often we do things or watch movies that are not pleasing to him, and not really give much though to weather it’s pleasing to Him or not. We are more concerned if it will hurt us or effect us instead of if it is honoering or pleasing to Him. And we say things like it’s not evil, or it’s not hurting us, I enjoy it. We only think how it will effect us, nad yet it was never about us, it’s about Him and weather is pleasing or honoring to Him, and what hurts God does hurt us. Prove what is the good and perfect and acceptable will of God. Is this pleasing to God is this acceptable to God and not about . And we need to lay down what we want or we think is good, and see what He thinks is good, what His word say about it. And we can easily find that out in scripture. Philippians 4:6-8 6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. He will keep our hearts and minds when we keep focused on Him, and make our request known unto him with thanksgiving in our hearts. And keep us in peace that we can even wrap our minds around. Veres 8 is how we know what is pleasing to God, so we can say it’s ok, i don’t mind, but it wasnt about us but about Him. He gave us a perfect guideline about what to watch or read or listen too ect… This is my go to verse that i go to rate a movie, book, song, etc… I often say either memorize this veres or tape it to your laptop or tv screen. Tape it somewhere handy and so you can think is it lovely, is it pure, is it of good report, is it true, etc…. If not out it goes. Because we want to please the Lord in all things and all areas of our lives, so we have to keep laying down what we think is good and what we want., or what we think, but what he thinks, because its all about him. It’s just wonderful when we lay ourselves down completly and choose His way and His will and we will be truly happy. Thats how we can truly live a joyfilled life. 6. Trust - Trusting God in all things and every situation Trust and rest in God knowing he is in control which brings peace of mind. Psalm 27:14 ; Psalms 31:24; Isaiah 26:34; Psalm 29:11; Psalms 13:5-6; Psalms 147:11 Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 Isaiah 26:3-4New King James Version 3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You,Because he trusts in You.4 Trust in the Lord forever,For in Yah, the Lord, is [a]everlasting strength. You want to be in perfect peace, keep your minds on Jesus. Don’t keep our mind or our focus on the news, on your troubles, problems, and the things around you. That’s whats going to keep us down and get us worried about things when we listen to the news, and all the crazy stuff going on. God will keep in perfect peace those who keep their minds on HIm. But its a choice we have to make and keep on making. The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear Him in those that hope in his mercy. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. The LORD taketh pleasure in those that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. Psalms 147: 10- 11 Proverbs 3: 5-6 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. We don’t want to rely on our own way or our own thinking, but on God’s. OUr ways are not HIs ways and our thoughts not His thoughts, so we can see we don’t always think the way He does, so not everything we think is good, or right to do isn’t necessarily His way. so we got to be purposeful about desiring that. The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 1 Corinthians:3:19 Isaiah 55: 7-8 7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Keeping your mind focused on God He will keep you in perfect peace, not with your mind on the news and the things happening around you. Not on your disappointments, not on your failures, not on others faults. When we are completely trusting in God, we will be at perfect peace. We will stay joyful. Being in complete surrender and giving him full control of our lives. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Psalms 31:24 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4 So that’s our desire to dwell in the house of the Lord. Psalms 13: 5-6 5But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. 6I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. That’s about rejoicing In God. So that’s like i mention in the last one about always thanking and praising the Lord because there is always something to thank and praise Him for. Like when i get up in the morning,’I'm like thank you lord thank you Lord. Nad just always pressing him for his goodness and faithfulness, and for who He is. Just rejoicing in GOd for all that He has done for us. There is so much, always something to praise Him about and parise Him for. Psalms 29:11 11The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. So we will keep in perfect peace when we keep our minds on Him. Conclude: In every state I’m i've learned to be content. It’s not that I have this all figured out and am always living this joy filled life, but I know it's possible and it's spiritual. It’s not that we will always be walking on sunshine, but when we live out the 6 secrets of living a joy filled life then we can stay above the waters when the clouds do come, which they will. And when we have learned to be content in whatever state we are in. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content.KJV Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. NIV These things are not something you just do once, but something you do on a daily basis. A choice you make every day. To give thanks in all things in everything and every situation. Rejoice, forgive, seek first the kingdom of God, trust God, perfect trust. We have to let go. Its hard because we want to hold on, and we want to do things our way and in our time. Yes, but we are worried about this or we don’t know about that. We think He can’t possibly be in control of that or do that for us. God can’t take care of that. We got to let God and let Him be in control. We got to be in control and now we feel better, but we don’t want to be in control because we just take care of things like He does, we don’t know what's best. So we have to let go and let Him have control over every area of our lives. Then we can rest and be joyful because we know that everything will be ok, because He got it and is in perfect control and there are no accidents with God. Nothing takes Him by surprise. The full surrender of our lives to Him, and completely trusting, with a perfect trust, brings peace, comfort, and joy. You then can have a joyful heart and joy filled life regardless of what life brings your way. There is no safe place to be. No stronger arms. He is our refuge, strong tower, our strength, our place of quite and peace, regardless of what is going on in our lives. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteous. That your joy may be full. 1 John 1:4 Mark 4:7 ( We got to focus on Godly concerns and not worldly concerns. Colossians 3:1-2, 1. Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is youra life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. ( For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26 ) Nehemiah 8:10 Joy of the Lord is your strength Proverbs 17:22 Merry heart doeth good like medicine Have you ever been around someone that is always full of joy? No matter what’s going on in their life, they're upbeat & positive. Well they must know the secrets to living a joy filled life.
How can you live a joy-filled life when things are not always going smoothly? If you're faced with great disappointments in life, or have gone through tragedies and your life has been changed forever? Or when things are not going your way, when things don't happen the way you wanted, when you wanted and how you wanted? When life isn't going the way you thought it would. This is especially vital for us mothers since we are the heart or center of the home. As the saying goes, “If momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy.” Or my spin on it, “If you have a stinking attitude the whole house will smell.” How we are feeling, and the attitudes we express, and how we go about our days really affect the whole household. And more often than not our children will pick up on it and portray the same thing. Just as there is always things to be thankful for if we would just look, we also will always have things we could complain about too, but we all know regardless of how much we grip, wine, complain, fret, or worry over something it won’t change anything, so this is an area we really have to be purposeful about. In part one I cover the first 3 steps that I put together on living a joy-filled life. Learning to give thanks in all things, rejoicing constantly, and continuously forgiving. A full and abundant life is possible in Christ, and is the life He intended for us, when we heed his words, and the things He instructed us to do. He gave us these commands, instructions, and guidelines for our good. There is a reason. It wasn’t withhold any good thing from us, but that we would have a more abundant and fuller and richer life in him. And I don't mean the riches the world can give, that is so temporary and fleeting. Jesus said, “A thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they might have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). People often talk about God doing “exceeding abundantly, beyond all we can ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). In part 2 I cover the last 3 of the six steps to living a joy filled life: Dying to self, Seeking first the Kingdom of God, and Trusting God.
This veres doesn’t just say to be thankful when things are going smoothly, it says to be thankful in everything. No matter what happens in life.Thankful in difficulties, in disappointments, in tragedies, on good days, on bad bad days. Sick days, well days. We can always find things to be thankful for. As the saying goes there is a silver lining to every cloud. There is always a bright side to every negative thing. But we have to be more diligent and very purposeful about finding it. We can always find something to be thankful for even in a major tragedy, and when we do it lifts the spirits, allows you to smile even with tears in your eyes, and heals the heart bit by bit. Like when we lost our son we found things to be thankful for, lifting our spirits. We were thankful that he died very quickly, with no suffering, that he didn’t have any of the other little ones with him, thankful for our new baby who was really healing to my heart, thankful for my other children. And be thankful for the very simple everyday things in life, the ones we often take for granted, like the gift of a new day or life it’s self. Since we lost our son I see life in a new light, each new day as a gift from God, and life nothing short of a miracle. When I wake each morning I thank him for the new day. And I thank Him for life. I’m awake, I’m alive, thank you God!! We are still here, we are alive and breathing! There is still time and hope for our plans and our dreams, and what God wants to do in us, and through us for others, and for us. There is so much to be thankful for all the time. In the same way though there are always things we could complain about too, but we all know regardless of how much we grip, wine, or fret over something it won’t change, so this is an area we really have to be purposeful about. And when we are always grateful and thankful our countenance is joyful and others can see that joy in you and they can wonder, “Wow, why is she happy ? She has gone through all this and she is still smiling.” Only God. And staying grateful and thankful and always looking for things to be thankful for. Everyday I look for something new. Yes, you will have to be purposeful about it. And you're doing it with a purpose in mind. I encourage you to do that everyday and you will see what it will do for your heart and spirit. 2.Rejoicing - rejoice evermore Rejoicing and finding things to praise the Lord for. Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, rejoice. Philippians 4:4 Praise the Lord. Rejoicing is similar to being thankful. Rejoicing in every situation. Focus on the blessings. Focus on what we do have and not what we don’t. Rejoicing in the Lord for who he is. That He is our great and mighty Lord, our refuge, our strength, our protector, our redeemer. OUr strong tower. Our help in times of trouble. Our hope, peace, comfort. He is always there with us and for us. And when negative thoughts come, speak life over them and truth over them in Jesus. Shoot all negative thoughts down with praise and rejoicing to the Lord. Yes, I may be worried about this, but my God is good, He is on the throne and in control. Yes, but I'm serving a great God, and He has said he would never leave me nor forsake me. Yes, this may have happened, but I’m in God and He has me, yes this is bothering me, but God loves me, I am forgiven, I’m chosen, I’m His daughter. Just thank them, and rejoice in his goodness and greatness, and what He has done for us, and through us. There are so many things to rejoice and thank him for, and just do it throughout the day. And Rejoice in the things we usually take for granted, Like rejoicing in HIm for your marriage, your children, your good health, a roof over our heads, a dependable vehicle, a warm house, etc… Be mindful throughout the day to do that. The more we do that the more we will find to rejoice about. And that lifts us up and puts joy in our steps. Rejoicing that He loves us, cares for us, calls us by name. Psalm 146:5 Happy is the man who has God as his help and his hope is in the Lord. That is what keeps us joyful! Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.KJV Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. NIV 1 Peter 4:13-17 Rejoice in tribulation and in sufferings for Christ sake. Mathew 5:12 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philpiallans 4:8 3. Forgiving -Matthew 6 14-15 - love and charity Forgiving is so powerful and healing. Having a forgiving spirit and forgiving attitude. Matthew 6:14-15New King James Version 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Always forgiving. We will be hurt, and not like in tragedies, but by our spouses, by other family, or just things in life. Sure this may be easier said than done, but we can do that in Christ, He gives us the ability to forgive. and we just have to keep forgiving, and keep forgiving, it’s an ongoing thing as long as we are living. We have to seek to do that and be very purposeful about it, and we can. And dying to self, because it’s really not us living anymore, but Christ living in us. And if we can truly live like that, die to ourselves and not be so consumed on ourselves and our little feelings, and be more concerned about and looking out for others, and not have these little pity parties and wow me attitude, then we can be forgiving, because we want to be joyful. Not forgiving is just being down in spirit and low. But when we can forgive we can just get on with our lives and these things won’t keep bothering us anymore. Like sometimes my husband says something or does something that hurts me or disappointed me and I've let that get me down. And I know he needs to tell me he is sorry and until he tells me sorry I will be upset at him. So finally I'm tired of being upset at him and I go to him and say I'm tired of being upset. Let's get this over with I don’t want to be mad at you anymore. So when i mention that to him, he is usually a little quicker to tell me he is sorry that he would have, and then i'm like great, now we are good again. Let's be happy, let's not be upset and that helps us joyfull each day. Forgiving is so powerful and healing and life giving, but we have to be intentional about it, and as the other things we have to continually be forging throughout our days everyday. Not worrying about the future. Philippians 4:5-7 So today we covered being thankful, rejoicing, and forgiving. And just got to keep doing things everyday, it's a choice we have to make. The choice we have to make is to be thankful, rejoice in the Lord to praise the Lord no matter what happens, be grateful, in whatever situation we are in, and forgiving. And we know that when we forgive others, God forgives us because we know we do plenty _ everyday, we are not perfect, we keep making mistakes. If we want to be forgoing, we have to be forgiven. And that keeps us joyful and keeps us going. It's been four years now since the tragic loss of our 14 year old son in April of 2017. in this video and in the next few ones I will be talking about different aspects of our loss and the last 4 years. In this video I briefly explain our son's quad accident, and focus on the hope, and peace we have in Jesus. this video would be great for those that have recently experienced loss or going through other difficult things in life. In Him, Mae Renfroe You bet Satan wants to steal something from you. He comes to seek, kill, and destroy. Everything that God has promised to us Satan wants to take away from us. In this video I talk about the things and areas in our live that Satan wants to attack and take from us if we allow it. So i encourage you to know what you are promised by God and stand up and stand strong for what belongs to you in Christ. Yes, we have an enemy and he is seeking whom he may devour. But Christ has came to give us life and life abundantly. And satan gets no more ground than what we give in to or give Him. For greater is in us than he that's in the World. So stand fast in the Lord. No weapon of the enemy will prosper. Amen! In Him, Mae Renfroe Hey Everyone! Here is my message I gave in the park in our community this weekend. May this Word encourage and inspire you to go deeper in your walk with God so you can experience all that He has for you. So you can live a full live here on earth for God and have the hope of heaven one day when He returns to take His people Home. This world is not our true home, this earth will pass away, we are just passing through. And if we don't have God in our lives now we won't have God or the hope of heaven later. If it's not God we want now, It's not God we will have later. So may you be inspired and empowered in your walk with God. And may you in turn be a light to others so they too may have this same hope in Jesus. We can't keep it to ourselves. In Him, Mae P.S. If you would like me to share this same message in your church or community, like a park such as this one, or a community hall, just let me know. I would love to come share. Please see my speaking page or use the contact box. I'm also very eager to have opportunities to share my complete story of loss and a message hope and encouragement I have put together to encourage those going through hard things or difficult season in life. Hey there, just did this video to share my heart and passion for my ministry and what it is I feel God has placed on my heart and called me to along with my role as wife and mother. My ministry outside the home is just an overflowing of my ministry inside the home. Yes, mothers, we are in the ministry right in our homes too, as we mother and nurture these little ones and big ones. As we home-school or don't, or as we are cooking and cleaning, and training and diapering, etc.... It's ministry for sure. So what i share in this video is the overflow of what I do here in the home. I have a heart to draw other women like you closer to the heart of God to walk with Him daily, and so that you too can impart Him to your children. And have that heart to heart relationship with God and have your lives and homes flourishing with the things of God. May you enjoy this video. May it encourage you. How do we become more Kingdom focused and less on less on the things of this world? - video post2/14/2021 Let's talk about how we can be more kingdom-focused and less focused on the things of this world. I read the verses below and talk about how we can lives these out more. It's so easy to get caught up in the everyday things and the things that seem normal in our society and in raising a family. But is this really living out God's complete will and desire for His people? Does He expect more out of us? So how to we live differently than the world with more time and energy to do the things that God really wants us to be doing with our time here on earth. In Him, Mae Hebrews 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Galatians 2:19-21 19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live untoo GOD0. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me,and gave himself for me. Mathew 6: 25- 34 Terefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Mathew 6:25-34 Continuing in our closer walk with Jesus series I talk more about what it really means to follow Jesus.
And that how, even though we say we are following Jesus, if we are not careful we can end up allowing other voices in our lives to have the greatest say. So in reality we actually are following others instead of God, and God alone. He has to be the loudest voice in our lives. We can't be allowing what other people say or think to dictate what we do when it goes against what God has placed on our hearts to do. I talk about my upcoming gospel meeting in the park and about my anticipation of what God is going to do there! The word of God is powerful. The word never changes, yet it changes everything! it's life-giving, life-transforming, and brings hope and healing. If you haven't already I recommend you watching my first 2 videos in this series, A Closer walk with Jesus. as well as the video, Putting off the Old Man, it is along the same lines. Let's start this new year off right drawing closer to God and seeking His way and His will in our lives. In this podcast episode i share not only my new and exciting YouTube series, but what's been on my heart and mind recently. And what all God has been teaching and showing me these days about what walking in Jesus and given our hearts to Him really looks like. And about my mantra for the year 2021. I invite you you to my YouTube channel and check out my first video in the series called A Closer Walk With Jesus. And i encourage you to follow me along in this series to inspire and equip you to get this year going on the right foot ! In Him, Mae Renfroe We are geared up for a great new year, come what may! God is in control! And I'm starting a new series to help us to walk closer to God is this year & to equip us to step into all that He has for us. Join me as I introduce A closer walk with Jesus series & putting off the old man. we end this year and start a new one I encourage you to renew your relationship with God. Take it from head knowledge to a heart connection. In Him, Mae See below for my complete notes. Ephesians 4:22-24 King James Version 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 1 Peter 2:9 King James Version 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; As we end this year and start a new one I encourage you to renew your relationship with God. Take it from head knowledge to a heart connection. If it is just things we know but know heart connection then there is no relationship and it’s as the saying goes for parents, “ Rules without relationship breeds rebellion.” It’s got to be in the heart and a relationship. The more we put on the old man and put on the new man, we then draw closer and closer to God to have an intimate relationship. That seeks, hungers, and shirts after God, His ways, and His righteousness. Then do we have the Love of God and the power of God working in our lives. I believe there is more of God that we are not tapping into. It's either because we are not hungry or thirsty enough for Him, or it's because we are too comfortable where we are at and the way we are living. We don't want to rock the boat. We don't want to get uncomfortable. We don't want to change. To fully experience the power and the working of the Lord in our lives we have to fully surrender. We have to give up our will for His and let go of things to receive all that He has for us. This process may be hard. Takes trusting, surrendering, and committing. We are to hunger and thirst after God and His righteousness. Jesus said to seek first the Kingdom of God. We want more of God and His blessings, but we don't want to do the homework. His takes discipline, prayer, reading, yearning We have to get the point where we are no longer satisfied with just a little of God. We can either keep Him at arm's link or in His arms. If we not willing to go all in and all out for God then we probably aren't in at all. Too often it appears that people are seeking heaven more than God Himself. Is it God we really want or just salvation and heaven? If we don't want God here on earth and to live the life for Him that that intails then we won't have God later in heaven. Just wanted to do this little video to encourage and challenge you commit your life and surrender more and more to God. Now is the time to put off the old man and put on the righteousness of God. The goodness of God and fruits of the Spirit. Casting off those things of the world and the things that consume our time and money, and being and doing the work of Lord. And all the more so now that the end is drawing closer. Being in the Word. Desiring Truth, and sharing it with others. May we be found faithfully doing the will of God. Mae Renfroe What's driving you and what are you chasing after - the things of this world or God? Video11/24/2020 Hey Friend,
What’s driving you? What are you chasing after? 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is it’s own trouble. Mathew 6: 32-34 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Jer 29:12-14 Only God should be our motivation and the driving force in our lives. Not money, not fear, not our personal comfort, not what others think. What are we chasing after? Entertainment? Self-satisfaction? Self-glorification? Self-promotion, popularity? God needs to be our focus and drive. we need to be chasing after God. When we seek God with all our hearts he will be found of us. Read Mathew 6:19-21 We can’t serve God and mammon. “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. 14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they [a]derided Him. Luke 16:13 -14 Mathew 6: 19 -21 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Jer. 29:10-14
Hey fellow mothers, I'm back! it's been awhile since I've been able to do an episode , and I'm excited about doing this one. I talk about the verse 2 Corinthians 5:20 that says we are to be ambassadors for Christ.
So I dig into what exactly is an ambassador, and how that looks for us as Christ followers. What is our role as ambassadors and what makes a great ambassador. We as mom's are to ambassadors for Christ and we are to be raising our children to be ambassadors. When we realize just who we are in Christ and fully embrace and step into that then it takes care of so many other issues in our lives. We can then have our perspectives and priorities in the right alignment with God and His will.
2 corinthians 5:20
"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." We are to be ambassadors for Christ. But what exactly is an ambassador?
Ambassador [amˈbasədər] NOUN
an accredited diplomat sent by a country as its official representative to a foreign country. An ambassador is an official envoy, usually a high-ranking diplomat who has been appointed to be in another country on behalf of their own country. They represent the moral principals and standards of their country, even though they may be far away from their homeland. When people see them they think of the country they represent. a person who acts as a representative or promoter of a specified activity. "he is a good ambassador for the industry" synonyms: campaigner · representative · exponent · promoter · proponent · advocate · champion · supporter · backer · upholder · protagonist · booster
And what does it mean to be an ambassador for Christ? It could be said this way, that the “best of the best” is to be representing God, through His Son Jesus Christ here on earth! It must be someone who exemplifies Jesus. God wants to speak to us and through us, by His Son. (Hebrews 1:2-3)
What is the role we are to carry out? we need to be in tune with that which is godly. “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread.” Matthew 6:10-11. God’s will be done! How can this happen in my personal life? In order to have His will done in my life, my own will has to be done away with. “Behold, I have come … to do Your will, O God.” Hebrews 10:7-9. “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20. What are the qualifications of a good ambassador? As an ambassador for God, my self-will must be crucified so I can do God’s will.when my “self” is given up, then Christ can live in me and through me, to an ever increasing degree. 4 but just as we have been approved by God pto be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not qto please man, but to please God rwho tests our hearts. 1 Thessaianloians 2:4 We need to be equipped in the word and in the knowledge of His Truth and righteousness. Be strong and courageous. Be bold and fearless. Be ready to give an account of the hope that's in you. A Christian is someone whose behavior and heart reflect Jesus Christ.
