I love these verses here in Acts 16 of Paul & Silas praying and singing praises to God in prison. Were they happy to be in prison? No! Were they feeling really good about then with all those stripes on their backs. I don't think so! But that didn't stop them from praying and praising God. Why? Because they were filled with the joy of the Lord. The presence of God was in that place with them . They had the peace of God that passes human understanding. They were filled with God's Holy Spirit. And guess what their prison bands fell off and they were able to witness to the keeper of the prison ! Do you think the bands would have fell off if they were grouchy and complaining? No! Could they have been a witness? Nope!! What a beautiful example. Can we praise God like this? Can we praise Him not only when everything is going great, but in our trials, afflictions, and sufferings too? And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loose. Acts 16:23-26 KJV And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. Acts 16:27, 29, 31-33 KJV

We can go through seasons like this. Praying and and desiring something and not seeing it, though deep down we know He hears us. We'll read some scripture about God hearing us to remind ourselves that God hears us and sees us. And then I would like for us to share stories, instances, or examples in our lives of God hearing us. Or Seeing God in the little everyday things. It's always encouraging to see how God works in others lives. And close with prayer requests. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. I John 5:14-15 NKJV And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Palms 139:4 Jeremiah 33:3, ESV Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known The angel of the Lord also said to her: “You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard of your misery. Genesis 16:11 NIV She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13 NIV God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Gen. 21:17 Genesis 29:32 Leah conceived and bore a son and named him Reuben, for she said, “Because the Lord has seen my affliction; surely now my husband will love me.” Genesis 29:31 Now the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, and He opened her womb, but Rachel was barren. Exodus 3:7 The Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. Acts 7:34 I have certainly seen the oppression of My people in Egypt and have heard their groans, and I have come down to rescue them; come now, and I will send you to Egypt.’ The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Psalms 34:17-18 NKJV Mae Renfroe We talk about many issues girls struggle with and how they feel good about themselves seeing themselves as Jesus does. Mae Renfroe In this video I talk about the importance of being in the Word and teaching it to our children both in what we say and by our example. and being alert to age the day and age we live in. I share about how we need to be aware of false teachings and false prophecies. Here is the link to the video I referred to called How Mega Churches Destroyed Christianity. https://youtu.be/5BuiwgGqNx4 Music: Sweet Musician: LiQWYD URL: http://www.soundcloud.com/liqwyd Our God is the God that goes before us. And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Duet. 31:8 Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. When things happen out of nowhere and we are taken completely off guard, what we forget is that it is just because we didn't know it was coming , God did. God knew and He was already preparing us, preparing the way, setting things in place to meet our needs and to help us get through this. He is the God who goes before us. The more you know about God the more faith you'll have. And just the opposite is true, What you don't know about God will kill you. The more we know our God and what He's done for His people before, and what He can still do, we can walk in greater faith, with more courage and boldness, and with a peace of mind. We need to remind ourselves of the miracles of God, like the parting of the red sea so the people could walk through on dry ground. How He shut the lion's mouth, quenched the fiery furnace, fed the people in the wilderness for forty years, made water come out of a rock, caused fire to come down from heaven and burn up the drenched altar and sacrifice. And Jesus who fed 5,000 with five loaves and 2 fish, turned water to wine, made the lame walk, caused the blind to see, healed leprosy, and walked on water. When we know our God, we don't tremble in fear over the stuff coming on the earth, a Dr diagnosis, an illness, a death of a loved one, ect.. Because when we know our God we know he goes before us , we know that all our unknowns are known to Him, nothing takes Him by surprise, and He's already made a way where there seems to be no way. He's already got a plan and He's working it out. I believe often our biggest problem today is that we forgot who our God is. It's time to remind ourselves who we serve. "They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt." psalms 106:21 And the children of Israel remembered not the LORD their God, who had delivered them out of the hands of all their enemies on every side: Judges 8:34 When life gets tough, remind yourself who your God is. When the news makes you worry, remind yourself who your God is. When you receive that scary Dr diagnosis, remind yourself who your God is. When that tragedy hits out of nowhere and you're wondering what life will be like now and how you'll ever go on with life, remind yourself who your God is. Our God is the healer of all our diseases, He forgives us of all our sins, redeems our lives from destruction , he covers us in tender mercies and loving kindness. That's who our God is. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 Mae Renfroe Introducing our newest baby!! A boy! Our new baby #10 vlog style video. Mae Renfroe Sometimes God saves or keeps us from a situation, other times he saves us in the situation. Like the story of the 3 young men thrown in the fiery furnace in Daniel chapter 3. God didn't save or keep them from the furnace, but he saved them in it. He was right there with them. Then there's Daniel in the lion's den in Daniel chapter 6. Again he wasn't saved or kept from being thrown into the lion's den, but he was saved in the midst of it. And in those situations God gets the glory!! If they had been saved from those things completely God wouldn't have gotten the glory and praise. Mae Renfroe Beware of false prophets and false prophecies. It's out there. It's real. And God has warned us numerous times through out the Bible. it's time we take notice and take heed, and to know the Word and truth so that we are not decieved, and to let others know. Satan has many tactics to win as many people as he can in the short amount of time he has left. He's very crafty. And he comes with some truth , but not all the truth. Since I did this video I came across a few more verses about false prophets and false prophecies that go with this. So I'll share those verses here along with the video. please beware of false prophets which are really abounding today, Satan does mighty wonders and miracles to deceive many as possible. And he knows his time is getting shorter. Read what the Bible says about it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:15, 22-23 KJV And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. Revelation 13:12-14 KJV And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Revelation 16:13-14 KJV I In this YouTube video I share the story of the little Red Hen and how if we are not careful, we can easily be like the Red Hen's friends when it comes to doing the things God has for us to do. We can want heaven when this life is over, but not want to live each day here for God right now. May that not be so about us. More detailed description of video: Many of us call ourselves Christians. But are we walking in obedience to Christ? Oh, we are quick to say yes, we are Christians, but are we willing to walk the walk and talk the talk and do the work? Or do we just want heaven? It reminds me of the big red hen story. Her friends didn't want to do the work of planting, harvesting, and grinding the grain for flour, but they sure wanted to eat the bread after it was said and done. Isn't that what most Christians want? We don't want the pain, the suffering, denying ourselves, laying down our will and desires for Him, but oh we want the good stuff, and we certainly want heaven when this life is over, thank you very much!! Go into the world and preach the gospel. Nope I'm not a missionary, a teacher, or a preacher so that's no for me. Keep the 10 commandments? Nope, they are done away with. ( Not! ) Deny self, take up our cross and follow Jesus. Sell what we have and give to the poor. Nope, that's for someone else. Here is what Jesus has said concerning these kinds of things. " Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. " Matthew 25:41-46 KJV "And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!" Mark 10:17-23 KJV Mae Renfroe Music: Sweet Musician: LiQWYD URL: http://www.soundcloud.com/liqwyd You know how everyone loves to have a job with lots of great benefits? Well did you know that the benefits of God are much better and everlasting than any job here on earth could ever give. I mean their benefits are great for sure, but let's check out the benefits of serving God. They can't even begin to give us what God can give us. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Psalm 103:2-6 KJV Peace, joy, forgiveness, redemption, comfort, provision, hope, salvation, mercy, loving kindness , healing, and so much more! But let's not forget that in this world we will walk through trouble, trials, death of loved ones, and have tribulation, but in the midst of it in Him we still have hope and peace, and are surrounded by His presence. We still have all His benefits and promises. Though we must make the choice of abiding and dwelling in Him. Rest and trust. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26:3-4 KJV The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; Psalm 103:8, 11-12, 17 KJV I love the story of Moses raising his arms up in battle in Exodus 17:8-15. This is very significant I believe that Moses had his arms raised in battle toward heaven. Giving honor to God to whom his help came from. Knowing the battle belonged to God and that they couldn't do it without Him. And praising God for the victory before he saw the miracle. Believing the victory before seeing it. And praising God in advance. There's something powerful in that. Raise your arms in praise and worship right now for the One that is fighting your battles! You are never alone!! I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. Psalm 121:1-5 KJV Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah–nissi: Exodus 17:8-15 KJV Music: Sweet Musician: LiQWYD URL: http://www.soundcloud.com/liqwyd Sometimes God takes us through things we would rather not go through, or into situations we would rather not be in, to get us to places in life He needs us. To prepare us for the work He has for us, so that we can touch lives that He wants us to touch. To touch lives that we never could have, had we not walked that difficult journey, experienced that loss, went through that tragedy, that unfair situation, or rejection, etc.. Like the story of Joseph in the Bible, God is getting us into the place or position He needs us to be in to do the work He has for us to accomplish. It's in the middle of those painful and difficult things that bring spiritual growth in our lives, and we learn to trust our Heavenly Father even more. All of which is part of the preparation. In the midst of our trials and storms we experienced His peace, His love, His comfort, His presence, His guiding hand, His provision, His protection, and we found Him faithful and trustworthy. God did not abandon you, He is preparing you for the work He has for you! Our greatest spiritual growth moments don't happen when everything is going smooth & rosy, and falling in place just how we want and when we want. There's no strength in that. There's no growing. But rather it's in those times of difficulty that we grow. It puts our faith to a test. And we see just how much we need Jesus. When we've walked through pain and sorrow; yet we see His hand at work in our lives. In the midst of our storms we feel His presence and peace, and we see miracles happen. We know He is active and present in our. And we know we couldn't do life without Him. The things that our enemy thought would break us, make us stronger! It's easy to praise God when everything is going great. But we praise Him in the midst of our times of difficulty as well. That's acknowledging that He is still good to us. He never said life would be easy, but He would always be with us. He said He would never leave us nor forsake us. And Jesus told us in this world there would be tribulation. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." I absolutely love all the verses that are about truth. And I wonder if we realize what truth really is and the importance of it. God is the God of truth! And I love this verse. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV We can't reject the truth and think we still have God. We can't substitute the truth or compromise the truth. If we love God we must love the truth and walk in the way of truth. There's no other way!!
