How do we become more Kingdom focused and less on less on the things of this world? - video post2/14/2021 Let's talk about how we can be more kingdom-focused and less focused on the things of this world. I read the verses below and talk about how we can lives these out more. It's so easy to get caught up in the everyday things and the things that seem normal in our society and in raising a family. But is this really living out God's complete will and desire for His people? Does He expect more out of us? So how to we live differently than the world with more time and energy to do the things that God really wants us to be doing with our time here on earth. In Him, Mae Hebrews 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Galatians 2:19-21 19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live untoo GOD0. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me,and gave himself for me. Mathew 6: 25- 34 Terefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Mathew 6:25-34 Continuing in our closer walk with Jesus series I talk more about what it really means to follow Jesus.
And that how, even though we say we are following Jesus, if we are not careful we can end up allowing other voices in our lives to have the greatest say. So in reality we actually are following others instead of God, and God alone. He has to be the loudest voice in our lives. We can't be allowing what other people say or think to dictate what we do when it goes against what God has placed on our hearts to do. I talk about my upcoming gospel meeting in the park and about my anticipation of what God is going to do there! The word of God is powerful. The word never changes, yet it changes everything! it's life-giving, life-transforming, and brings hope and healing. If you haven't already I recommend you watching my first 2 videos in this series, A Closer walk with Jesus. as well as the video, Putting off the Old Man, it is along the same lines. In Him, Mae REnfroe Hi & welcome to my second message in Closer walk with Jesus video series - Being followers of Jesus! We are to be Followers of God! We have to deny ourselves and follow Chirtst. And when we loose our lives it’s then that we find our life In Him.
Matthew 16:25 King James Version 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. There is power in the Word! The Word changes and transforms lives. Sets people free. The word is full of life and power and brings life and hope. We are to mediate day and night on the Word. Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17, 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 It's time to for prep and Prayer. And put on the whole armor of God as it tell us in Ephesians 6:10-18. Being shod with the armor of God we can stand in the evil day, and stand against the fiery darts of the enemy. This is not time to be lax, but diligent and fervent in prayer. Time to keep in the Word, constant in prayer, and encouraging one another with scripture. we can stand on His Word because God stands behind His Word. His Word does not go out void, but it accomplishes what He intended. So prep, pray, and stand strong!! God is with you, and will keep your hearts and minds, and will keep you in perfect peace. In Him, Mae Renfroe
Hey there, and welcome to this episode of my podcast introducing my Closer Walk With God series on YouTube.
Let's start this new year off right drawing closer to God and seeking His way and His will in our lives. In this podcast episode i share not only my new and exciting YouTube series, but what's been on my heart and mind recently. And what all God has been teaching and showing me these days about what walking in Jesus and given our hearts to Him really looks like. And about my mantra for the year 2021. I invite you you to my YouTube channel and check out my first video in the series called A Closer Walk With Jesus. And i encourage you to follow me along in this series to inspire and equip you to get this year going on the right foot ! In Him, Mae Renfroe We are geared up for a great new year, come what may! God is in control! And I'm starting a new series to help us to walk closer to God is this year & to equip us to step into all that He has for us. Join me as I introduce A closer walk with Jesus series & putting off the old man. we end this year and start a new one I encourage you to renew your relationship with God. Take it from head knowledge to a heart connection. In Him, Mae See below for my complete notes. Ephesians 4:22-24 King James Version 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 1 Peter 2:9 King James Version 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; As we end this year and start a new one I encourage you to renew your relationship with God. Take it from head knowledge to a heart connection. If it is just things we know but know heart connection then there is no relationship and it’s as the saying goes for parents, “ Rules without relationship breeds rebellion.” It’s got to be in the heart and a relationship. The more we put on the old man and put on the new man, we then draw closer and closer to God to have an intimate relationship. That seeks, hungers, and shirts after God, His ways, and His righteousness. Then do we have the Love of God and the power of God working in our lives. I believe there is more of God that we are not tapping into. It's either because we are not hungry or thirsty enough for Him, or it's because we are too comfortable where we are at and the way we are living. We don't want to rock the boat. We don't want to get uncomfortable. We don't want to change. To fully experience the power and the working of the Lord in our lives we have to fully surrender. We have to give up our will for His and let go of things to receive all that He has for us. This process may be hard. Takes trusting, surrendering, and committing. We are to hunger and thirst after God and His righteousness. Jesus said to seek first the Kingdom of God. We want more of God and His blessings, but we don't want to do the homework. His takes discipline, prayer, reading, yearning We have to get the point where we are no longer satisfied with just a little of God. We can either keep Him at arm's link or in His arms. If we not willing to go all in and all out for God then we probably aren't in at all. Too often it appears that people are seeking heaven more than God Himself. Is it God we really want or just salvation and heaven? If we don't want God here on earth and to live the life for Him that that intails then we won't have God later in heaven. # 4 Desiring Truth video - What day was Jesus really resurrected on? The truth may surprise you.12/27/2020 Jesus himself said he would be in heart of the earth 3 days and nights. So what's is up with the popular belief and teaching of a crucifixion Friday and resurrection Sunday? Something is not adding up here. What's the truth on this? And does the truth even matter? Watch this video as I shed some much needed light on this subject. In Him, Mae ( see my notes for this video below. ) The Resurrection.
Three days and 3 nights. Welcome to # 4 of the Desiring truth series. In this one we are will be uncovering the myth of the common belief and teaching of the Friday crucifixion and Sunday morning resurrection. And reveal the truth. Jesus said He would be in the heart of the earth 3 days and 3 nights, did Jesus lie to us? Or is there a lie in the teachings of this? And we are missing out on something in the Bible? Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. Matthew 12:38-42 KJV So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging. Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord , and made vows. Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah 1:15-17 KJV High sabbath When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. John 19:30-31 KJV In the NIV version it is called special sabbath. Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. John 19:31 NIV What is the "high-day Sabbath" mentioned in this verse? Is it the same as a weekly Sabbath? The answer is no. A high day is technically an annual holy day, or annual Sabbath, as commanded in Leviticus 23. The annual Sabbaths are seven: the first and seventh days of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah in Hebrew), Atonement (Yom Kippur), the first day of Tabernacles (Succoth), and the Last Great Day. The first three occur in the spring, and the last four in the fall. Thus, the high day of which John was speaking was one of the three spring holy days, and since Jesus crucifixion took place on the day of Passover (Nisan 14 on the Hebrew calendar), the high day of which he speaks must be the first day of Unleavened Bread, which falls the day after the Passover (Nisan 15). What we have to establish is when he would have rose from the grave. And then count back from that 3 days and 3 nights and we can then see when he was crusified and hurried. It says He was risen already when they came Sunday morning. Since he was buried in the evening we can know to make 3 days and 3 nights He would have risen in the evening and not morning. So that would have Sabbath even. Count back 3 days and 3 nights from that and you have Wednesday evening. Wednesday evening would have been the preparation day for the high sabbath which fell on a Thursday that week. Wednesday night, Thursday -day, Thursday night, Friday day, Friday night, sabbath day, and sabbath evening Jesus would have risen from the grave in full victory!! They came Sunday morning and He was no longer in the grave!! Why is this so important to know? Because God is the God of truth. We are to be not only lovers of God but lovers of truth. And many people hinge their belief of keeping Sunday versus Sabbath based on this false teaching of a resurrection Sunday. They say Sunday is the Lord’s day and is the day they rest and worship on because it was the day he rose, but that is not even the day. It's said Sunday is the lord's day because it's believed Sunday to be that day He rose, plus of the reference to the Lord's day in revelation. The only verses that mentions Lord's day. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Revelation 1:10 KJV God can't lie. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Hebrews 6:18 KJV Having a love for truth and the spirit of truth. It's so important and an urgency to dig into the truth. And we need to have a desire to search out and now the truth. An urgency, because if not now, when? The time is running out. The time for truth is now. The bible says to worship God in spirit and in truth. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:21-24 KJV We are to not only be lovers of God but lovers of truth. Because is the God truth. he does not lie. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:15-17 KJV Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:7 KJV He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Psalms 91:4 KJV The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. Psalms 145:17-19 KJV Hey there, welcome to number 5 in my series of Desiring Truth and Desiring God. I'm happy that you are still hanging in with me and still desiring more of God, His Word, and His Truth. We are to be lovers of God and His Truth, and worship Him in Spirit and Truth. God says darkness and Light don't mix. I pray are seeking Light, the Light of the world. The savior of our souls. Where do these traditions come from?
Why we do what we do? And believe what we believe? Do we know what we do why do it? Do you know where the traditions of Christmas originated from? Dec 25th? The tree? The lights? For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. Jeremiah 10:3-4 KJV Why you worship on Sunday instead of sabbath? Why do we say the Commandments are done away with when Jesus said he didn't come to destroy them. Matthew 5:17-18 Mathew 7: 21_23, 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Ephesians 5: 7_21,7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Mathew 19: 16-17,16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Mathew19:16-17 God can't lie. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Just wanted to do this little video to encourage and challenge you commit your life and surrender more and more to God. Now is the time to put off the old man and put on the righteousness of God. The goodness of God and fruits of the Spirit. Casting off those things of the world and the things that consume our time and money, and being and doing the work of Lord. And all the more so now that the end is drawing closer. Being in the Word. Desiring Truth, and sharing it with others. May we be found faithfully doing the will of God. Shining our lights brighter than ever! In this series, we have now established that the 10 commandments are still intact for us today, all 10 of them. In this one, we look at scripture concerning the seventh-day Sabbath. I share some scripture on it. I also cover as well as things that people tend to say concerning the seventh-day Sabbath and the commandments in general. I also mention apostle Paul's teachings and how many times they seem to be misused and misunderstood or taken over Jesus' words. We have to take what the whole Bible says on a subject not just a few selected and missed used verses here and there. For more of my writings on the Sabbath and the 10 commandments please check the articles here and on pervious blog posts on my website. Mae Renfroe See the verses below that I refer to in the video Hey and welcome to part 2 of my series about the 10 commandments, the sabbath, the resurrection day, which I'm calling Desiring Truth series.
So far I’ve done the introduction to this series and the first one on the 10 commandments. Now that we've established that the commandments still stand for today we can dig into the sabbath. We will cover scripture, and things that i have heard people commonly say about the sabbath and the misconceptions concerning it, and commandments in general. Paul’s teachings versus Jesus? They are often taken out of context and miss used. And then accepted over Jesus’ words. If people truly believe that Paul is saying something different from Jesus then they need to go with Jesus’ words, not pauls. Now that we have established the fact the 10 commandments still stand us for today we will look into what that means for the 4th commandment about keeping of the 7th-day sabbath. In the beginning, God knew what we needed when He gave us a sabbath. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Genesis 2:1-3 KJV Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. Genesis 2:1-3 NIV Tested with the manna. He said to them, “This is what the Lord commanded: ‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath to the Lord . So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.’ ” So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it. “Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a sabbath to the Lord . You will not find any of it on the ground today. Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any.” Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none. Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions? Bear in mind that the Lord has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where they are on the seventh day; no one is to go out.” So the people rested on the seventh day. Exodus 16:23-30 NIV The 10 commandments. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 20:8-11 KJV God's words about the Sabbath in Isiaha. If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord , honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord ; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. Isaiah 58:13-14 KJV 7th day Sabbath mentioned in Hebrews. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Hebrews 4:4-10 KJV And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1 John 2:3-6 KJV Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 samuel 15 20 And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. 21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in Gilgal. 22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. 25 Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord. 1 samuel 15: 20-25 Rejecting the commandments mark 7 4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables. 5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? 6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Mark 7:4-9 Meeting on Sunday 3 times and sabbath 7 or more times in acts. Acts 20:7 Now con7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. 1 corinthians16: 1-2 concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. Link to places referring to them meeting on sabbath in new testament. http://www.eliyah.com/85times.html Sunday is called the Lord’s day and that it is the day they keep because He rose from the grave on Sunday, but that is not the truth. Revelation is the only place that mentions the Lord’s day. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Revelation 1:10 KJV Lord of the Sabbath. And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. Mark 2:27-28 KJV And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1 John 2:3-6 KJV They say Sunday is the Lord’s day and is the day they rest and worship on because it was the day he rose, but that is not even the day Jesus
In this episode, I introduce my youtube series that I'm in the process of doing on the 7th day Sabbath, the 10 commandments, the day of Jesus' resurrection, as well as certain holidays and traditions. I'm calling this series Desiring Truth.
There is so much misconception around these topics and it's my desire to help reveal the truth on this. And draw us all closer to the heart of God. It's so important and vital to know the truth on these subjects and on anything because God is the God of truth and we are to worship God in Spirit and in truth. I also talk about how we are to put off the things of this world putting off the old man and putting on the new man. Having a new focus, new priorities, new interests. I pray this is a blessing and encouragement to you as you grow closer to the heart of God. For more great resources please visit my website and blog. Mae Renfroe www.maerenfroe.com Hey there! Here is the second video in this little series I'm currently doing. I think I will call it the Desiring Truth Series. In this one I talk about the 10 commandments and the two common believes that I have came across. Either people tend to believe the 10 commandments are done away with and are no longer for us today, or that they are for us, but that the 4th commandment has been changed. So come along and join me as dig into scripture to reveal that the commandments were not destroyed and are very much for us yet today - all 10 of them! And if you enjoy this please pass it along. I want this very important and much overlooked truth to get out to as many as possible. In Him, Mae p.s Stayed tuned for the for my next video in the Desiring Truth series on Sabbath coming out soon. Below is the verses I either read on the video or referred to. Deuteronomy 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
Deuteronomy 30: 10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1 John 2:3-6 KJV The 10 commandments are not destroyed Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Matthew 5:17-22 KJV “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. John 15:9-14 NIV “If you love me, keep my commands. John 14:15 NIV But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:34-40 KJV Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Revelation 14:12-13 KJV 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1 John 3:4-5 Broke the everlasting covenant. The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. Isaiah 24:4-6 KJV Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; Deuteronomy 11:18-22 KJV If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. Deuteronomy 30:10 KJV And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Welcome to this week's video and the introduction to my series on the Sabbath, the 10 commandments, and the resurrection. I'll call it my Desiring Truth series I love this verse here. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:15-17 KJV I pray that you will have a desire and heart for the truth. I and pray this will nudge you to dig deeper into the Bible and into God's wonderful truth. Stay tuned for the upcoming videos on these topics and in the meantime, I encourage you to start doing your own searching on this. God says His spirit will lead us into all truth. In Him, Mae Renfroe What's driving you and what are you chasing after - the things of this world or God? Video11/24/2020 Hey Friend,
What’s driving you? What are you chasing after? 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is it’s own trouble. Mathew 6: 32-34 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Jer 29:12-14 Only God should be our motivation and the driving force in our lives. Not money, not fear, not our personal comfort, not what others think. What are we chasing after? Entertainment? Self-satisfaction? Self-glorification? Self-promotion, popularity? God needs to be our focus and drive. we need to be chasing after God. When we seek God with all our hearts he will be found of us. Read Mathew 6:19-21 We can’t serve God and mammon. “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. 14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they [a]derided Him. Luke 16:13 -14 Mathew 6: 19 -21 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Jer. 29:10-14 God hears us before we even speak a word, ( Psalms 139:4 - Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely. Isaiah 65:24- Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. ) So we can be assured that He hears our every prayer. And we can also be assured that He answers our every prayer too. But what we need to realize is that He answers in His time, His way and His will. So the answers don’t always come when we want, how we want and don’t always look the way we want them to. But He answers our prayers according to His will and what’s best for us for our good and for his glory. And that is really what we want anyway. We just want Him in our lives and His will done in our lives. I believe God answers every prayer in one of three ways. Yes. No. And not yet. In this video I want to encourage you to not give up or get weary in prayer, and not lose hope. But continue to seek the Father and His will and His heart. And seek and pray that your desires and heart longings are aligned with those of God’s. Psalms 37:4 tells us that when we take delight in the LORD, he will give us the desires of your heart. But first and foremost God himself needs to be the desire of our hearts. God and His Will for our lives need to be the desire of our hearts. And when we desire or love God with all our hearts, soul, and mind then hearts should be in the right place and we will be desiring the right things. May you be blessed and encouraged with this post and video about prayer. In Him, Mae I'm adding this video, taken out in our woods, to the Hope From the Cemetery series that I've been doing over the summer of 2020. It's done at the accident site of where we lost our son. I did a video here early in the spring before starting my series at the cemetery. ( there is a link to that video below ) I thought this video would be a great way to wrap up the series. I hope to do one more at the cemetery though . Mae Renfroe Here is the link to the first video I did out here in the woods of spring 2019. https://youtu.be/P0bXS8FG4uU And here is the link my first video from the cemetery in Hope From the Cemetery series 2020 https://youtu.be/eDbS5qSCHqY What do we do with the time God has given us? Are we doing His will? This is a word for somebody11/8/2020 Hi you all! God has been speaking to my heart lately on many things and so I just had to squeeze in time for this video and share with you all. Some of these things I have shared before about making the most of our time and how we should be living in a since of urgency for spreading the Word of God and being the light in our crazy world. But I am being more and more convicted that we need to be all the more diligent about spreading the gospel at this time and being the hands and feet of Jesus if we truly love Him. If we love God with all our hearts, soul, mind, and strength then it should show in every area of our lives. we should be just as passionate about reaching the lost, the lonely, and the hurting just as Jesus was. We need to have the heart of the Father. For more resources, and to connect with me please visit my website and blog at www.maerenfroe.com In Him, Mae Renfroe Here is a video just for my faithful subscribers!! I reveal our surprise in this fun video of our travelling on a four-day road trip with 10 of us! I also talk about a verse that's been on mind the past couple of days, and I talk about Walking by Faith . We don't look at those things around us, but we look up to the One who keeps and holds us in His hands. We walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 He is with us wherever we go. Joshua 1:9 We are instructed to be strong, bold, and courageous. Not fearful, not timid, not weak. But we walk in the strength and power of God. We don't walk by fear, but only by faith. We don't have to be afraid. He said He will never leave us or forsake us. And we can say with boldness He is our Lord and our helper. Our refuge, shield, and strong tower. Proverbs 18:10 Hebrews 13:5 -6 Sure we don't know what tomorrow may bring, but we know who holds our every tomorrow. please feel free to connect with me here on my blog and i will get back to you as soon as i can. Mae Renfroe Ok, so here is the last garden video of the season. It's harvest season. Both in the gardens and fields, and a spiritual harvest. The doors may be closed for a lot of things we call normal life, but the doors and hearts are wide open for the spiritual harvest. Now is the time to be diligent in our witnessing. We are harvesting the last of the vegetables in our garden. Since doing this video we got the last of the potatoes, carrots, beets, and rutabagas out of the ground. We waited almost too late and the ground was already starting to freeze, but got everything out and safely in our cold room. We are very thankful for the good harvest. Watch all the way till the end of the video to get a fun sneak peek of our baby goats. #12 Hope From the Cemetery - comforting others with the comfort that God has given us heals us too10/20/2020 Hi there! But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. In this video, I read the story in the Bible about the boy that gave his lunch to Jesus to feed the hungry crowed. Jesus took the 2 fish and five loaves and blessed it and fed the crowd of over 5,000. What I point out is that it was not necessary for the boy to have had enough food for everybody, but it was only necessary to give what he had. An Jesus did the rest! Too often we focus on what we don't have and what we can't do and in doing so that holds us back from doing anything. All God asks is that we give what we do have. Focus on what we do have. Even if what we have seems too meager, not enough, not good enough, etc..... Just give it. God will bless it for His glory. So what is in your hands? What do you have that you can give to God for His use? Maybe it's your resources, your time, your spare room, your interests, your talents, your story, your testimony.your money? Like the two fish and the 5 loaves, God will take your offering and bless it and it will do more with it than you ever would have could have imagined. Because with God all things are possible. God does not ask for our ability, but our availability. We serve a God of the impossible! To connect with me please visit my website/blog. mae Renfroe You also may like God Cant's use What we Don't Give In this video from the cemetery I talk about the importance of letting yourself grieve after loss, and not holding it in and trying to be too strong to soon. I share my experience after the loss of our 14 year old son, and how I didn't just allow the tears to flow. That process of Grieving is so important in our healing and moving forward after loss. I share comforting Bible verses that display God's great love and compassion for us, and how He is there for the broken hearted and He wants to heal and mend our broken hearts. There is a hope and purpose for the difficult things we go through in life. God wants us to get back up and keep on going. But we don't do that on our own strength but on His and He doesn't expect us to. To connect with me, or to ask about my grief coaching and support please visit my website and blog.
