I can Write!

For many years I have felt that I did not have any talents that I could use for the ministry as many other ladies do.
I had never learned to play an instrument, I can't sing good, I wasn't a speaker or a teacher, not a artist, and not an author.
But it has finally dawned on me after 8 years of blogging that I can write!! Did you hear that, "I can write!" And I guess I am an author now too, because I have 3 self-published books!! WooHoo!!
Who would have thought? The girl with no talents has found her talents!!
I had always enjoyed writing when I was younger, not essays or school reports or anything like that, but I loved writing letters. As teen I wrote lots of letters to several pen-pals that I had, as well as to family and relatives. I loved wording things in ways that would make every-day happenings  sound more exciting, and being creative in my letter writing.
It wasn't until I was married and a young mother with 4 children that I took to blogging. ( I actually never even heard of the term blogging until then ) By that time I no longer had extra free time to write letters to family and relatives, and my pen-pals had fazed out already for a few years. I didn't rightfully have time to blog either, but since I treated it as my little ministry spot, I just took the time.

Still I hadn't considered my self a writer though. And even when I self-published my first book I never thought of my self as an author! Because that just wasn't who I was. That's what ever one else did, but not me. I was just a stay at home mom with no talents!
But I guess I do have a bit of talent. I can lay pen to paper or my fingers to the key-broad and the words just seem to flow! In fact the words seem to just come at times when I am not purposely writing, and then I have to run grab paper and pen or I loose my thoughts.
But it's not me. It is all God. I couldn't possibly do it without Him!  And I praise Him for it. I am simply the instrument in His hand.

I Love the saying, 'Your talent is God's gift to you, and what you do with that talent is your gift back to God.'
~ Each of us has a talent or two, which is a gift to us from God. Let's use that gift for His glory!
